There are now even PCIe 5.0 SSD available that goes over 10.000GB/s.

12.5GB/s. this is faster than my mom's notebook ram probably.

sane or insane this is very overkilll, tough, 12gb could oneshot the majority of my games. it would move all my current games (150-200GB) in 2 minutes around that. you can use windows like you would use in ram with those. still, if GB/s would run games, i think it cant run minecraft.

its not that bad, but still interessing. its interessing tough how gigabit ethernet gets just a bit more than that. (scale). i probably been livin in a rock to try to use windows using a vm via ethernet. d you know that year is this hdd?

What is your oldest PC component/peripheral that you still use today

Mine is the Be Quiet! Silent Base 600 Case, I bought it in 2016 and it fits my current E-ATX motherboard with other Z690 platform upgrades that I've bought in May 2022. Second oldest is my Dell 1440p 165Hz G-Sync monitor that I bought in 2017 with all pixels still working flawlessly.

continuing, i think that the slowest hdd i has that is not faulty is an IDE from wd, caviar black 40gb i think.

Buy a Kingston KC600 then OP. If you want a Kingston SATA drive. Kabum has the 512 GB model for 349,99 plus shipping. About as solid as it gets

i managed to bug the screenshot feature of windows. claps for me. seems good, 500MB reading/writing in general is very good. 512gb i can survive. with that easily.
i will restart my system, as i dont know how long it gonna last to turn on, i may have an delay to reply.

whops, wrong box. not very old, but if it still good, you may mantain you hard drives correctly. i really as i dont have any freeezer or heater to maintain harddrives, i just put in a box organized and let them here. still, many of them are just trash, clicking of death is epidemic in my home, lots, i mean lots of drives got this error, and i would not even have the chance to access or recover any data of them. when i install hard drives on this system, i will probably cluster them for memory allocation. im doing an cluster on a WD and an maxtor harddrive, the difference of size is big 320GB vs 80GB, respectively. but if its faster and can stream gigabit ethernet at full speed, its good for me (i use them with an AMD C-60, in a file server for myself. connected directly to the router via gigabit ethernet. is an dream) gotta restart the system. one moment.

my computer finished restarting, still i cant bing up the screenshot menu, the disk is on 100%. i have ones with around 1366 days of use. from seagate. the seagate drive that lasted more than all was this one. from what i remember, its not good anymore, but it works.
