It's interesting that so many people are capable of setting every game aside just to play a new release. I mean, I'm still in the middle of Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and can't just put it on hold only because I also want to try Hogwarts Legacy or Jedi: FO. Similarly, I don't stop watching a film halfway through and start another one, unless it's utter garbage maybe.

Interesting new releases only make my backlog longer. I wish I had time to play more!

Haha for me this isn't just a new game.....this is DIABLO, it's been 10+ years since the last Diablo game. I have waited so many years for this one, everything else stops immediately lol. I'm sad they seem to have removed the hours played tracking though, I really love stuff like that in my games.

Guilty as charged!
I'm semi retired, work most mornings, write in the afternoons and when I get tired of that is when the gaming starts. I have far too many in my backlog, so it's embarrassing and now that I've started on System Shock remake, the others will have to wait.
But it all depends on mood as well. Although SS Remake isn't scary, there are days when I can't take the scare-jumps, so I then play classics like NOLF, RTCW or just go crazy with NFS Hot Pursuit.
Most of the freebies I got from Epic (I blame Epic for my backlog) I haven't even installed

Forza Horizon would be a lot more fun if the police started chasing us. As it is, I've lost interest.
It's become the same old thing yet again, especially FH5. I'm puzzled as to why the devs have to give so much attention to hats, shirts, avatars and all that gender nonsense when you don't live any of that when racing your car.
It's just annoying and the series needs an injection of new life.

I wonder how Ace Combat 1 & 2 are holding up. Those were by far my favourite Flight Sims on console. Colony Wars was a Space Sim so it doesn't count as much.

Not going to bother with a screen shot but Diablo 4 has that Diablo Magic. I played on my lunch hour using the Druid and am already at Level 7. I have not even done any of the Animal Forms yet. One thing that I can't get is how the attack button must be a magic spell. It is kind of weird swinging the axe and seeing no damage or using magic to search debris.

It was Ace Combat 1 but 2 introduced new Missions. I remember there was one where your Radar did not work properly and there was a ton of cloud fog.

Honsetly I've really enjoyed my time with Andromeda, I've heard so much crap about it at launch that I've ignored the game for 1+ year.
Picked it up later and I could hardly put it down with ~90 hours played or so.
By the time I got to play the game it was patched out so I ran into no game breaking bugs or anything, sure its a bit different than the original trilogy but that doesn't make it a bad game imo.

Tho I might be biased cause ME is arguably my favourite story/lore based game ever. 'I think I've read the entire codex in the game just to know more about the world of ME'

My character in FH4 looks like his wife dressed him for a day trip to the nearly vacant local outlet mall. His celebration is a 1000 yard stare. He is the lone guarantor of sanity during any loading screen.

It's the time this setup takes place in as much as the overuse of these zany elements that drags everything down. Wheelspins are one of the high points in my opinion. Which comes with reality you are going to win nothing or a lot of dumb prizes. I think winning this farcical cosmetic/accessory crap is a doable solution, but having every corner of the game beat you over the head with a barrage of all singing all dancing glitterbombs is an entirely different thing.

Andromeda had a lot of problems at launch. It was pretty much the joke of the internet for a while but it has been greatly improved since then. I suspect it was because EA shut down Bioware Montreal (the Developer of Andromeda) after the launch and turned the patching and polishing over to a different studio. Bioware Montreal had never developed a AAA game before and were too inexperienced to handle it right. Anyway, it's good that you waited to play it.

Yeah read a lot bad press when it came out. But running great on the steam deck. Only bug I noticed was audio cutting out when using bt headphones but I'll just close and open again and it's good again and that doesn't happen very often either. A lot of times I find my self just looking around at the environment l.

Damn how times change huh, I've played the game on my RX 570 and I had to tweak settings to have alright fps on my at the time 1080p monitor. 'I'm considering giving it another go at some point now all maxed out and everything, maybe even modded..'
O ye I did use 1 mod when I was playing it, the shut up SAM mod. Constantly telling/warning me about temperatures and whatnot while driving around drove me crazy and apparently there is a mod for that.

Truth be told I rarely wait that long but at the time of launch I was busy with other games and more important things so it wasn't that difficult to ignore but I'm glad that I gave the game a chance at least.

i played countless hours spread for almost a year, done all the DLC's and hardly had any crashes. Is that legit or the Empress thing? His cracks are crap.
