Windows 11 October 2023 Update crashing games and File Explorer

Windows 11 October 2023 Update has introduced a bug causing games like Starfield to crash with error code 0x89245106 and has negatively impacted File Explorer’s performance.
Many users have reported that the error prevents them from playing certain Xbox games. The error code, 0x89245106, indicates the OS couldn’t detect the default user for the game.
While Microsoft initially didn’t acknowledge the issues in their official release notes, they have since recognized the problem on the Feedback Hub and claimed to have rolled out a fix. Some users have temporarily solved the issue by uninstalling the problematic update.

I started (and am over 7h by now) of Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time on my N3DSXL (despite it being an DS game). Having a blast, simple as that.
Such a shame AlphaDream went bankrupt, because the M&L series was pure comedy gold.

7 Days To Die more than anything else. I have really enjoyed the changes with Alpha21. Playing with family and it's still super fun when you have goals and try to build different types of hoard bases.

I've also been putting some time into Battlebit. It has so far been more fun than 2042 and I've barely unlocked any additional weapons (I'm on the third assault rifle and 3rd sniper rifle I think). I've had a few maps I didn't enjoy (couldn't see anything on the night map I played and one other was just too crowded and there was nowhere to flank to).

There's been an ongoing bug with Windows, (likely since 10) where I get spammed with error code "0x80073D02" for Windows app updates apparently, (likely UWP apps) and I still don't even know what that error code means!

That stupid error issue that I have been having, is almost as unhelpful as the infamous "something happened" error messages of Windows 8x and 10!

Had it on my wishlist for a long time.
Not a bad game for $6
Reminded me a lot of The Thing (1982) but you get to play The Thing!

I'd honestly stick with this GTX 1060 for a number more years. As screenshot depicts that just isn't realistic even in a 60F room at lowest settings playing windowed on a fraction of the screen. Having a crisis of upgraditis that threatens evolving into a full blown case of neurosis over how much VRAM the DLC releasing 31st is going require. :laugh:

My feeling is that number after checking a few boxes is going to be well above 8GB. Average over an hour or so was 5995MB on the least taxing map.

Full moon is as close to dark Halloween themes as my gaming ever gets.

Dead Space remake is finally on Game Pass so I've started playing this since my pass is only active till ~mid december. 'hopefully I can finish this and maybe 1 other game by then'
I did play the original game back in the days but after playing the timed demo I've wanted to play this just did not feel like buying it. :oops:

Gotta say its kind of fun to revisit the game in a bit different way/form, tho some parts I still remember from my original playthrough.
