Interesting. I turned down some of the more obscure settings and it almost doubled my FPS. I went from 79 to like 150 and it was butter smooth. One thing this Game has is Dune Jumping is fun. The Motorcycle seems to be the most kinetic experience. These Electric vehicles they give us at the start are a little powerful. The Truck seemed to offer a nuanced experience as well. I would try that and just run native to see what the experience is like.

I just went into the Game and my Graphics settings are high, Vsync off and no upscaling. Running borderless at the native resolution.

This was at native EPIC and the 73 FPS is cause of my global FPS cap of 73 via the Nvidia driver. '75 Hz monitor, this helps in some games with tearing so I cap it there'
I will tinker with it a bit but if nothing helps then off it goes, taking up 60+ gigs on my 1 TB NVMe..

Playing Farthest Frontier. It is an enjoyable game but IMO the tiers and upgrades and resources need to be a bit more balanced. Runs very stable though for an early access title.

BF2042. Currently 12 euro and I thought why not, as I do enjoy the battlefield games.

It's actually not bad! Though I wish I could turn off the TAA they use, it's not the cleanest or sharpest resolve, and the stuttering has been rather annoying (I imagine this is due to the lack of a shader compilation step)

Ooh boy. Started playing Last Epoch. It looks like they took the good stuff from Grim Dawn and Diablo and cooked up something real nice... It plays as smoothly as D3/4. It has the passive trees of Grim Dawn, and all sorts of QoL, borrowing stash tab management from Path of Exile. It can be played 'offline'... even though you still have chat :p

I'm also keeping an eye on this and considering on buying it now since the version 1.0 relase is right around the corner.
Tho I've just finished my ~1 month of D3+D4 ARPG killing spree so idk how much I have left in the tank for the genre atm. 'I do feel like to mess around with something new so I will sleep on it I guess..'

Well honestly the first hour I played was already much more interesting than 100 hours of D4. I'm not joking. There seems to be a lot to actually discover you know. Lots of classes. Self made uber items. Looks real good.

Yep, swimming in the docks. Need to get that lung capacity so I could just play that mission direct

Took about 20 mins to get to half. Good thing is stamina got higher too, plus lower fat. This game was back in 2005 and it's pretty detailed with micromanagement like this. Never again tho with newer GTA series. Guess people don't like this sort of thing.

What TESIII: Morrowind is to the TES series, the GTA: San Andreas is to the GTA series. From that point in time onwards, it's all about dumbing down the gameplay and glorifying pretty graphics and effects.

This game with all lights off and house dead silent= So sweet experience!

This game brought some good memories, time when I wasn't intoxicated by online games. Dead Space was the first horror game that I played and I loved so much, the real horror and the chance to fight back with you gun, not that bullshit survivals "only scape" mode.

Beated in 21h gameplay still loved so much and hated some points. The first and the worst so far was those locked doors with 1,2,3...200 permission levels, Kendra increase the player's permission level at some points and why not she just allow everything she can? They are not working together? A bad joke for sure! The other thing I hated in this game and it was affected by aforementioned is the way you can get ammo schematics and the droped ammo by enemies. The game dont explain to you but the droped ammo only matches with your inventory and if I knew that I just dumped all junk on store and keep only line gun and contact beam in inventory and sure, the gameplay would much more funny telling to enemies "COMOM BETCHES, I'MA OVERPAWARRRRR". The pulse rifle just spit beans and the force gun does nothing.....

This game is such a beauty and sometimes I just stopped to contemplates the view:laugh:

1708268448007.png

The game is very optmized and runs smooth like butter** on all max, running over 100fps most of the time. The ** question is those damn travelling stutters and it happens because the game dont have a loading screen. The game have ALOT of micro loadings while you move in the map, some places you get big areas free of them and some are really tight. Dont remember the location exactly of the corridor, after passing the door a stutter happens and walking about 5~8 meters another stutter again, you can walk back and forth and the same stutters and same patern will happen. A such small area with almost empty corridor having a loading cycle..... Sometimes it annoying alot!

1708271325510.png

Despite those problems the game is outstanding, I hope the next remake dont have those travelling stutters and those "back and forth" puzzles doors like first dead space. It will be perfect!

I was just on Steam and Ubisoft are trying hard to Gain new customers. Right now you can get both Division Games for $16. Those are totally worth it as those Games offer hours of Gameplay. Online or Offline.

yep, they need to fall deeper. Stop all the anti-consumer policies they have been introducing during the years plus the copy paste boring crap.

Yeah thats probably true but for me its the actual gameplay that keeps me playing an ARPG long term since discovering stuff can only last for so long and in some cases it can be annoying if its stupidly overcomplicated just for the sake of it like in PoE for example. 'hence why I still return to D3 in new seasons after 10+ years, nothing to discover anymore but the gameplay is as good as it gets for me, D4 is getting close too in that regard cause I had a blast playing my latest Meteor shower build in the current Season 3'
Luckily Last Epoch seems to have a gameplay that I like + its something between Diablo and PoE like GD is so I've pulled the trigger on it:

Oh well I still have enough money saved up to buy Forbidden West in late march. 'this and whatever else I'm playing on Gamepass should last me long enough anyway'
I've watched a 1+ hour long beginner's guide from one of my go to ARPG/Diablo content creator 'Raxx' just to get a generic idea of the game's mechanics and whatnot but otherwise I won't be following a build guide for my first char and just do whatever I feel like to.:)

Another Game I am getting based on your comments

I mean thats fine and all but don't hold me responsible if the game doesn't work out for you. 'you know I'm a lot less critical about games than most around here..'
When it comes to ARPGs I kinda have to reach the end game point to draw a conclusion and that will take me some time since I don't game all day anymore. 'still from what I heard/read and watched this one is a very promising one in the genre'

I have been a fan of ARPGs since Zeliard. To bring it into more focus I played Diablo but Torchlight 2 is my speed and I am also a lover of Grim Dawn. D4 was meh and I have been looking for a new ARPG. It got to the point where I was doing Turn based Games. The Magic in this Game looks like I will enjoy it.

Runemaster is said to be tremendously good ;)

I've rolled me a Sentinel, just to get a hang of the game. Always good to start with a melee to get a feel for what must be avoided. Main skill is Warpath, spin to win baby
I've already come across a sequence where my skills would repeatedly stop being functional. Reported bug. Its definitely not 100% yet...

I'm interleaving sessions of Sleeping Dogs (aka Hong Kong Hustle, which I never got to play the DLCs on the Definitive Edition) and GRID Legends (which I didn't even know I had on EA).
Apart from my rig getting really stuffy, some great gaming to be had. Nothing like playing old games better on newer hardware.

Sleeping Dogs is a hidden gem, I also have not done the DLC yet. Might give that a go sooner rather than later.

I'm currently playing FFXIV, finally caught up on the patch story quests, they were decent. Now I am just enjoying some dungeons and side quests as I wait for Dawntrail this summer.

I laughed when I read this. I literally added this to my wish list on Steam earlier today. Saw an article about how it just launched. It does look neat. I will probably pick it up on in the winter sale 2025, my wish list is 1000 strong :D

Two Brothers remake coming out soon is at top of my wish list, and both Nier Automata games after that.
