One of the games I got in the Steam summer sale was Dragon age origins ultimate edition which I am playing now, I bought a physical copy of the vanilla game when it launched all those years ago but must have lost it in a house move or something, unlike DA2 and Inquisition it didn't require the EA platform to play which I thought strange because there is no link to the Dragon Age keep without it so I have to continue to manually update the keep for origins as I play along, one of the very few times I feel the need to complain that there is no 3rd party requirement

Recently bought Manor Lords on Steam when it had a nice discount.

It's a rather extensive building sim game with fantastic graphics for the genre, although it does test my patience quite a lot. Progress is very slow (despite the fast forward function) and I yet still have to discover which actions lead to which reactions/interactions. It will most likely consume a lot of my time  .

Manor lords 1.jpg

I noticed during gaming it pulls 99% GPU usage and about 15% of the CPU with using app. 2 Gb RAM, I would say quite demanding.

I'm definitely waiting on that one a little bit. It looks great, but like you say, its quite a challenge right now and not for all of the right reasons.

Probably Last Epoch, as while I haven't played it myself, looks fun, while imho after playing N:A it may be worth a breather/further study/listening/etc (imho) to let it sink in.

Did not see it was on sale fwiw...It rarely ever is, iirc. At least that was the case for years (and years). A steal at $16 (consider I personally find it to be one the greatest things I've ever partook)!

It's one of those things that I would simply say IDC when you play it; just that most-everyone should at some point. For $16, I imagine quite a few more people will be adding their memories to the collection.

Nice find; thanks for pointing out that it's on sale (if some have yet to play it, they should jump on that imho).

Finally getting around to playing Condemned: Criminal Origins. It's giving me a FEAR vibe so far which I do like. Not surprising since it's a Monolith game from the same time period. Games like these I like to play late at night with the lights turned off and the volume cranked up a bit. :)

I'll start Resident Evil Director's Cut on PS4. Of course with Jill since she has two item slots more than Chris.

Yes same engine as F.E.A.R, and a good game, a bit forgotten now !
Hope you'll enjoy it ! The 2nd episode was not bad too (but exclusive to console, if I remember)

I've done the original back then, and it was great, then the remaster on GC, even greater !
The passage with Lisa Trevor was very welcome ...
But every times now I want to redo the game (on PS4), I can't stand the controls
The characters moves like trucks :)

I don't have the guts to play the remake, the only game which is too scary for me.

Lisa's lore is sad though as I've watched videos of that.

I been playing more and more on my retro PC, old games like NFSU is so simple but very enjoyable. Game work out of the box, no need to go online, game loads in an instant, you play and unlock upgrades as you progresses, music is banging great accompany you while you driving. I'm a Gran Turismo guy but arcade racing game like NFSU is fun! Great game to play after long day at work, and leave me smiling :)

I didn't get on with DA2 but I must admit I quite enjoyed Inquisition ....................... obviously not as much as Origins! (apart from the soundtrack).

I'm hooked to FarCry, can't believe this game is 20 years old now. I'm using my Eizo MX215 with 10-bit color depth. Idk if game have such color support but it looks great nonetheless. Still there is problem rendering distant object/foliage.

I still have the original CD and have patched it with the official AMD x64 patches which include texture, as far as I remember. It also means that I don't have to insert the CD every time. That's so 90s!
There's also a mod for saving wherever you like using F5 for save and F9 for load - very handy if you keep dying, like me.

I'm hooked to FarCry,

Yeah, this level was the Demo level that originally came out. You start on a little dinghy yeah?

I remember me and my mate were like 'Holy F..." look at those graphics on my 9800 pro fully maxed on 1280 x 1024. Was a little bit chewy but I didn't care back then. Anything was acceptable.

Ever since then I became a PC bandit. Damn you Far Cry!

what pc games is that ?

I didn't get on with DA2 but I must admit I quite enjoyed Inquisition ....................... obviously not as much as Origins! (apart from the soundtrack).
Inquisition's theme song is goose bumps material..!
