Sure, there's rng but there are tactics to maximise your chances. It takes time but you'll start developing new approaches, it's very well done IMO and a lovely game to dip into on a daily basis but don't overdo because, yes, it will feel like a grind.

Completed Rise of the Tomb Raider.

Fantastic game, perfect sequel to TR2013.

Toned down the violence and combat encounters a bit, upped the hunting and challenge tombs, basically the TR2013 formula perfected.

Way fewer quick time events.

I had a great time with the main story and the Baba Yaga DLC. I'll give some of the other DLCs a shot and move on from there.
