They would not read on Windows Pc.
The disk format the Amiga systems used is not supported on Windows.
68olds said that i should try emulation to get them to read.
That should likely work. Only a theory though.

I had a lot of fun with a modded PS1.
I used to do those mods. It was always interesting to see Sony make design changes to prevent mods from working and then the modding community quickly and easily find work-arounds for them and make new mod chips. For most of the people I knew back then, the mods were to play games from different regions rather than play "backups", though there was some of that going on.

Home - X360, portable - DS/3DS. The days of Halo, CoD and Guitar Hero on xbox live are certainly my favourite ones, haha. Plus the og360 is still the best-looking console by a mile imho. DS/3DS take the portable crown simply due to the sheer number of my all-time favourite games, like Shin Megami Tensei 4 and various Castlevanias.

Saturn mods were a beotch! Wires ALLLLL over the place. PS2, Dreamcast and GameCube were all much easier. Had fun with OG XB mods too! Before selling it my XB had a 640GB HDD and all sorts of game mods and cheats. Playing Halo 1&2 with cheats was fun! Never did the Celeron mod to it though, always wanted to try that one.

What is your fav games console ? o_OAnd what do you think of the mini games consoles and the maxie c64? o_O
For me the games library makes a console, the best era I am stuck between the SNES and PS3/Xbox 360.

I know PS1/PS2 days were the golden years for JRPG fans like myself but I wasnt actively using consoles then.

PS4 wasnt bad but could see the downward spiral in game quality, and PS5 game library is practically non existent. My Series S has had good use with its Xbox 360 BC library.

SNES, it just held up so well vs older 3D games/consoles (Genesis too, but if I had to pick it'd be the former).
After that may as well be current so Xbox Series X and likely a Switch 2 when it comes out.

My buddy did the mods too, he also did sat. stuff with dtv at first, then disnet and bell. The early 2000s were a good time, literally the wild west :)

Paid to have a PS2 modded and it failed hard, wound up buying another.
The Dreamcast didn't really need to be modded though - you just had to know a guy who knew a guy :pimp:

this is my second favorite. I remember for my bday in highschool my Dad sent my gba to some place and they installed a backlight in it. man it helped a lot. Metroid Fusion, mega man battle network, those were some happy times for young me. what were your fav games on it?
Hard to choose. Probably the Golden Sun games

I know it's kinda a douche answer, but honestly my Steam Box plugged into my TV. Boots into Steam Big Picture mode and is basically a console.

All the perks of a PC, all the casual gaming goodness of a console.

I thought I answered this but maybe there was a similar thread, or maybe the subject came up on the side in another thread because I know I answered it.

My favorite console was the original PlayStation. The PlayStation 2 and Super Nintendo, and probably in that order, sandwich it as my second and third favorite.

I've got fond memories of Gran Turismo on PS2 and Super Monaco on Genesis.

PS1 followed by PS3. Keep in mind I had Pong when it was only out a few years. Jesus I'm getting old.

if I were to rate the console by graphics alone, PS4.

I haven't touched consoles in ages. Back in the day, it was Sega (can't remember which model) and the PS1. I also had some long sessions on a couple of PS2s (mostly FIFA and GTA) and the old Nintendo, but I never owned one. The old Gameboy deserves a shout-out too — I had that portable gaming fix on hand. Thinking about it now brings back some memories. I never let anyone borrow the Gameboy... literally never. YOU PLAY, BUT NO TAKE!! - that was the selfish principle at play. The one time I let someone borrow it out of kindness, my worst fear came true... a few days later it came back "DAMAGED".

As for the fav. one... honestly i can't call it. All of them in their own special way have been a BLAST!!

Objectively speaking, it should be the PS1 and PS2, these consoles had the biggest console libraries and a lot of rare titles you can't play anywhere else. Personally, I like the SNES, N64, and Gamecube a lot more, the games for those platforms were a lot more unique and many of them were groundbreaking in game design.

Well ok, Gamecube games were not groundbreaking at all but they were just fun to play.

I think my judgement on this is screwed up because Nintendo games are always strong for kids and I never had access to a Nintendo console in my childhood but did have a chance to play the strongest titles for all three Nintendo consoles at a friend's house where as I did have a cheap used PS2 Slim but never got the best titles for the PS2 like Shadow of the Colossus or Metal Gear Solid 3 or a Final Fantasy game.

The PS4 Pro was a solid machine. That's probably my recent/popular pick. Loved the Vita for a portable, wish it had been more successful. The Saturn was my favorite "classic" console, and the SNES if you want to go back farther than that.

I've only owned one console (Atari 2600) long ago but I played it for many hours. I did buy my son a SNES and a Nintendo 64. When he was young he really liked playing with me when I had a few minutes free time. As a teen......not so much because I wasn't very good with shooters with a controller. Only exception was Mario Kart 64 where I was the king in our house. Even his friends usually couldn't beat me. All I can say about consoles is that Nintendo truly knew how to make games that were just fun to play.
