The oldest drive i have here, from 1998 Samsung Voyager 3.2GB HDD. Follows up the 990PRO new model...:) Best is that this is still working with Windows 98 installed on it.!

I have an E-Mu 1212m sound card from circa 2004, with a DSP and a lot of digital audio I/O. The part with analog I/O is actualy a separate PCB, making it a 2-slot-wide card. I basically built my current (Skylake) PC around the PCI slot required to use it.

E-Mu was already part of Creative back then of course, and now I'm wondering if Creative too had a card that was a close relative of mine. The DSP is supposedly called EMU10K2 and also found in Audigy 2 and Audigy 2 ZS, but Audigy drivers used the DSP for different purposes than E-Mu.

Oooh i like this thread. The old stuff definitely deserves mention in the new age for its unwavering service and resilience:

Sadly i tend to give away older working parts, but i have the following:

1. 15 year old build with Ati Radeon HD3650 256MB Video Card paired with a Quad Q9550 CPU. Use: The wife's daily driver for basic tasks.

2. 20 Year old K350 keyboard paired with a 12 year+ old Dell optiplex 390 (i5-2400). Use: My personal backup station for all sorts.

3. This one deserves a mention. Bought a cheaper than cheap Canon TS5050 printer with zero stable/durable expectations as a backup in 2016-17. A year on, it got put to use regularly. I did not expect it to last this long... STILL GOING STRONG and ink refills are DIRT CHEAP!! Actually deserves more mention... it's outlasted 1 laser printer and 2 ink-jets... and no signs of failing other than the occasional paper jam which is very easily remedied. Sometimes big surprises come in small (pocket spend) boxes.

4. Easily 15 year+ HDs but that would be cheating, all got thrown in storage and unused. Oldest HDs in-use probably a few years old.

Those are familiar looking flash chips. My first SSD was a 32GB Kingspec (made in 2010) which came in a ThinkPad T60 which I bought in 2013.

Here it's compared to a 250GB MX500, I probably don't need to tell which is which

Ah yes that old stuff brings a tear in my eyes... At that time it was dam good and fast. Unbelievable that could make this nice hardware so long ago, and that it still works. Many components now newly made don't even come close to five year. Like the Radeon from ATI, unbelievable that they could make this very complex card so long ago.

For some reason i keep everything, i can't put it away, specially if it still works. Where's the time i did play Space Quest?

OK guys, I have to go to sleep now, tomorrow I'm going to tell more about my printer, still used regularly, from the same magic year called 2004. Its manufacturer is on the top 3 list of most hated printer manufacturers today, have I been unspecific enough?

Well mine would have to be my Logitech Z2300 2.1 speakers. Bought them back in Nov 2005 at the Tiger Direct Store in Aurora/Naperville Illinois. And they still work. Now the top speakers are replaced from a Logitech X-540 set I bought at a garage sale in 2012 for $15 but the sub is perfect. Please mind the cables I know.

My Samsung F1 Spinpoint from...2007 ? Still use it to keep some old stuff. No more game installed on it though.
My Logitech G11 is with me since 2007 too, my Antec Sonata 3 and its Earthwatts 500 too, though those two are now used as a NAS as I bought a P101 Silent last year.

I'm disappointed, I was expecting to see components like this CPU from the Nuclear Power Plant Fukushima Daiichi:respect:

I still use a pair of Packard Bell / Polk Audio Monitor speakers that I found and scavenged from the CRT monitor. I use them with my laptops now but they have been used with all my PC builds since 2003!

Asrock X370 Killer SLI Mainboard. Still good. Never had any Mainboard running so long on my Daily-Use-System. And AMD still makes new CPUs for the AM4 Socket.

Microsoft Intellimouse 3.0. My favorite wired mouse ever. I still have 4 from 2003 and three are in use today.

I've got 2 of these Microsoft Intellimouse Optical mice. One is black, the other is white:

The black one doesn't get used much, maybe a couple times a month. The white one has been my work mouse (followed me through 3 jobs) and it still is to this day. I've been using the white one since roughly 2008/2009. Now that I think about it, this mouse would be the oldest in use peripheral for me and my 500GB WD hard drive is a close second by a couple of years.
