It amazes me how few people in this forum use a realme smartphone. It has been the fastest growing smartphone manufacturer for several years and they have over 200 million global shipments. I know Samsung as the market leader does this in one year, but realme hasn't been around that long so this is a significant amount of sales.

My realme has been working perfectly for 4 years now anyway. It was the smartphone with by far the highest price/quality ratio at the time I bought it.
All they need to do now is slightly increase their ‘overall quality and performance’ in their flagships so that they can compete directly with Samsung and iPhone.

I'm about to sell my 3 years old Realme 8 4G 6/128 in a few days.
At the time of my purchase it was one of the best budget phones for the money and honestly I can't complain it served me well for 3 years with no real issues to speak of. 'still works perfectly fine and the battery life is also decent till this day'
In the past years I've picked up mobile gaming a bit more so I've upgraded to a Xiaomi Poco X6 Pro like 2 months ago and thats my daily driver nowadays.

I did check what Realme has to offer in my budget range but sadly they are almost completely gone from my country and their only offerings were either out of my budget range or did not check my needs so I've went with the Poco. 'Ordering phones from other countries is a no go for me so if I can't buy a phone in my country from a legit e/retailer then its off my list'

Samsung Galaxy a54 5g for me. Does everything I need it to do. A work phone really, doesn't have so many of the bells and whistles (which suits me fine). I use it as a tool, and I'll replace it with whatever the equivalent Galaxy is when it wears out. I've grown partial to Samsung phones. I tried out a bunch of different phone over the years (LG, Moto, htc, etc.) and I keep coming back to Samsung.

Recently bought a Motorola G85 5G to replace my "old" Poco M3 4G phone.
Only because 3G is being stopped here and the 4G phone uses 3G as a fall back to make calls etc as it isn't VoLTE.
The new phones screen isn't as wide, but the resolution and feel is much better.

Pretty sure there is a petition currently that is trying to cancel this, I'd recommend checking out Hugh Jeffery's video about Australia's 3G shut down and blocking international phones.

Using a Black Samsung S23 ultra now, got a good trade on the S24 for the 23 ultra which imo is a better phone, bigger screen, better cams, bigger battery, pen(if you use it) The s24 ultra is the best phone atm imo but is expensive.

Any has ever noticed that you put on a tempered glass screen protector and it your screen fidelity goes down? First few days without the protector and the screen was beautiful but after putting on the screen protector it felt less fidelity or maybe it’s just me

Samsung Galaxy A15 5G. Good cheap unlocked $145 phone. I bought it overseas for cheap with no contract. It's a slow phone, I guess, but it's faster than my previous $600 one that I have been using for years, so I don't know why people give it a hard time. It's a step-up for a good price. The fingerprint reader on the side power button is a nice feature. It's slow compared to the $800 competition everyone else buys; but who buys both and then compares?

I have always used tempered glass and I in fact, insist on it. The problem is that some tempered glass protectors aren't oleophobic, so it smudges pretty hard. The protector glass on my Xs Max cracked (screen itself is fine), considering getting one of those new ceramic film protectors installed to try it out

So just something for if anyone searches for it:

For some time the wifi on my Google Pixel 8a has been all over the place. I have 250mb/s and the phone would often intermittently slow down to something like 2mb/s. Often it would fluctuate between 10-40mb/s. Pretty bad. I found the solution on reddit: go to to the settings for the network and set Metered network from automatic to Not metered. Now I get the speed the router is capable of delivering.

Photos don't take much space, unless you also store the RAW data and just keep them on the phone. I have a 128GB Pixel 8a and I'm definitely feeling the limitation, but that is because all the Tidal playlists.
