So amazon wanted to get rid of it fast, possibly new philips speaker sets coming up...

It's pretty disappointing but my ASUS X570 Impact found to be dead unexpectedly.
Suddenly the PC didn't boot by pressing any button (case, three on mobo), I checked the PSU etc. but the mobo seemed to have died for no reason.

Anyway, I purchased a cheap B550 mATX, I put all my stuff on it and now looks to be ok.
I'll move to ATX case/mobo for my next build, so after nearly 10 years in the ITX/DTX format, this is the end.

Ordered an active DP-DL DVI adapter, a 2m DVI-D cable & a wrist rest. I'll post a pic when they arrive :)

Need that adapter to get 144Hz from my 2nd screen, it supports that refresh rate only via DVI and my 6700 XT doesn't have DVI. Running it at 1080p60 with a DP-DVI cable currently.

but i wonder how can a wifi 6 motherboard be cheap? can you tell the price?
No it doesn't look nice. At least for me.
It cost about half (basically less than half) than a X570 board. It doesn't make any difference if it has WiFi or not.

The thing is that there are no good X570 boards in mATX form factor.
And the ATX X570 are more expensive now than they were when released. That's crazy.
So, the solution was a cheap B550 so I can sell the whole package with the case sometime later.
130 pounds if I remember correctly.

I've made a few recent purchases.
RCADeltaPro2&TesmanMultiMeter.jpgRCADeltaPro2Tablet-01.jpg
Got a new tablet, with physical keyboard and a digital multimeter. Concerning the tablet, I thought that given the Mediatek SOC and an unlockable bootloader that setting up root would be easy.... not so much. Kinda pissing me off actually. It's a decent tablet, but without root, it's usefulness for me is limited.

SamsungMicroSDCards.jpg
Also needed a few new microSD cards and BestBuy was having a sale. $14 for the 128GB and $26 for the 256GB. Hell yeah!

good deals on microsd cards, but prob should refund that tablet if you can't get lineage OS on it. why not just go to lineage OS download page and find the tablets that are supported and go from there?

That is a good point, but...

...none of the supported tablets for LineageOS have physical keyboards. I don't do bluetooth.

EDIT: To be fair though, I am looking at the Galaxy Tab5E.

Bought 4 of these. Logictech BCC950. Reason besides conference calling, I'm a not only a hardcore board gamer, I'm a professional hardcore gamer before there was such a thing as E-Sports. I worked @ Virtual Worlds Unlimited where the BattleTech arcade pods were used. I was hired to be a Ringer. The bad guy everyone wanted to beat so as a Ringer I had to lose a few games, just enough to get people into playing then got on a short winning streak before losing a few games.

This ensured that there will always be a grind of people racing towards the top and top rewards at the site. It was one hell of a gig, but that is not all. Board gaming was one of the few luxury things I refused to let go when times were rough as back then.

Back then as I do now, strongly believe that of board games helps social and intellectual interactions with other like minded people. I even fully believe that LAN parties (in the 90's) were also a good thing as there was a great deal of personal interaction while gaming. It forces you to think. I forces you to use math and strategy. Things that I used well with my businesses back than and currently now.

With this setup I can play against someone across the country games such as Panzer Leader with another set up using a Linux version of Zoom, as it is a numbered hexed based board game. I can play other physical games as well. Chess is one thing,
But Napoleonitics, miniatures, and RPG's promotes different aspects of thinking that also involves real social interaction.

IMHO this is for me the closest thing to physically game, converse with with like minded people across different time zones, in different part of the world.

BTY,.. The 1080p camera ball on top of the shaft rotates left to right and up and down, so yes it's a rather cool little gadget to have. And of course it has a decent speakerphone as well.

Finally gonna make the step up and ditch my old E10K (microUSB is incredibly stupid) for a FIIO K7. Initially was about to pull the trigger on the K5 ESS until I saw the K7 for $200......no-brainer. @VSG 's own review and various others sealed the deal.

Both JDS stack and Schiit stack would cost more for me, which was a little sad as I wanted to see what the whole stack thing was about. But I guess I have a soft spot for Fiio (E10K and BTR3K).

(not my picture, that will come later)

For my primary machine, a 32 GiB kit of Kingston FURY Renegade 3,600 MT/s C16, because I've found myself reaching the 16 GiB limit more often recently with some of my newer design/dev work.

And for my LGA775 test setup, I bought a like-new physical copy of Unreal Tournament 2004 from eBay for £2, because I'm not spending £40 on a digital key...

The FiiO K7 isn't an interface, it only offers audio out and not mic in.
But it has a headphone amp & preamp, right?

Nowadays simply called "audio interface". Usually combining things like DAC, headphone and mic preamps.
Ah, okay. But a same thing anyway?

Interfaces generally blur the line these days but the popular ones I know at the $100-200 mark definitely miss the mark when it comes to having a decent headphone amp to drive higher impedance cans. I have a Scarlett Solo gen3 for my mic, the DAC is said to be quite good, but some combination of bad/no amp + rotting garbage Focusrite driver + some unknown voodoo stops me from using it for headphones. For its intended purpose it does a great job driving my PGA181, no complaints, as any interface should be.

E10K was getting long in the tooth and I noticed that in certain aspects the Scarlett did sound better, and combined with the fact that the microUSB port is about to tap out meant it was time to upgrade.
