Almost forgot about these little goodies...
Couldn't pass up a $54 1tb 980pro...it's way overkill for any of my upcoming client builds but whaddyado? And yup, got sick and tired of lugging my 1000lb case out to the back porch to blow it out with my compressor (back spasms will do that to ya, bleh). Actually almost got away with drilling a hole in the office floor to run the compressor hose up from the basement but the old lady caught me before I could get started and well, you know how that goes :(So here's my cheap, lazy ass old man solution. Lug it over to the window and blow it out with the XPOWAH! In the latest summer themed, light green haha. Much
easier on the back. Little suckers actually powerful for a pet dryer/auto detailer/air pump... wtf ever that's supposed to mean :/ auto detailer?
View attachment 302314
I do that once every couple of months, but my rig is on rollers so not much lugging.

I don't know those drives well, but that looks like an extremely well planned build avoiding all the known issues with modern hardware

As long as you dont get a 400W+ peak GPU, you'll be peachy
(undervolting is a glorious thing, anyway)

blow it out with my compressor (back spasms will do that to ya, bleh).
I got a ryobi compressor for this, that and my LG vac do an amazing job without me LARPing an escaped 10mm socket

Low pressure, meant for tires/air beds but can be used for light dusting
1687674365429.png

The 'big' boy which does great, as long as you're okay waiting for it to refill - only get 1-2 minutes of air before it has to refill
Runs off a drill battery so its extremely compact and easy to move around
1687674406559.png

This thing with its 9001 attachments doesnt have a blow mode, but a car kit with the flexible hose for any cordless vac is amazing for PC use - a paint brush to loosen the dust and a vac to collect it gets the job done, and this LG wins my vote because unlike dysons it doesnt blow out your eardrums and doesnt require the trigger held in, its a click on/off setup

LG's hoovers are amazing. We have a step down from that model without the self emptying feature and I have never used anything quite like it.
Sure, they're not cheap, but you really do get some amazing hardware there.
Have you used the WiFi feature though? I don't get that part.

Everything has WiFi these days. You might wanna swap that hammer in the picture with a Smart(TM) Hammer(TM) for added wireless connectivity and telemetry.

I haven't even bothered trying it. Not sure what kind of diagnostics you can get from a hoover...
As it come with two batteries, why do I ever need to know when the battery is charged, as they're a pice of cake to swap between and one can be charged while you're using the hoover...

The wifi is absolutely a leftover from the robovac hardware they have in common - it lets them get some usage stats, but doesnt benefit the user at all

"these days" They had bluetooth in the year 986! And everyone knows pirates had iPatches and wireless phones (although they did have that unusual parrot shape with some very large delays in passing messages back and forth)

I love that you guys can call the LG vac a hoover.
C'mon. Is that a Tesla Ford? A Samsung iPhone? A Razer IBM?

A 6700Xt would be perfect.

Funnily enough, a 6750 XT (Gigabyte's Gaming OC version) is cheaper than all 6700 XT available here lol.

I don't know those drives well, but that looks like an extremely well planned build avoiding all the known issues with modern hardware

The Cardea Zero Z440 is essentially a slightly faster Corsair MP600. The Silicon Power SSDs are entry-level but are slightly faster than its peers, also they were on sale at the time. lol

this reminds me of those Sentinelese islanders/tribe/cavemen whatever they're called. Maybe over 10 years ago i imagined these types of isolated people being absolutely nuts for being outside of the modern and advanced world. Then I bought a house, got a mortgage, bills, got married, had kids, commitments, responsibilities, etc etc etc..... i no longer see them as being nuts, but blessed!

I got another EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 w/ iCX Cooler for $170 off Ebay this afternoon to replace my recently departed XFX Fury X. It'll be a massive performance increase and since this one is going into an Asus X99 Deluxe with a Xeon E5 2683 V4 w/ 64GB of DDR4 2400 (the fastest RAM a V4 Xeon can use) it didn't make much sense to spend more on a GPU for it. No liquid cooling on the 1080 so that's one less thing that could go wrong with it.

1 week and 4 laptops later, finally a worthy product......last year's Zephyrus G14. 6900HS 6700S with the FHD 144Hz screen

Searched far and wide for an ultrabook, turns out a gaming laptop is better at being an ultrabook than an ultrabook. God bless Asus for giving it 100W PD.

Why does it say "electronic music" on the box? I haven't seen a laptop with such a distinct preference before.

Why does it say "electronic music" on the box? I haven't seen a laptop with such a distinct preference before.

OMNI is only into the coolest japanime inspired electronic music?

Funnily enough, a 6750 XT (Gigabyte's Gaming OC version) is cheaper than all 6700 XT available here lol.
check it doesnt have weaker specs as one of those annoying variants that's cut back, but overall that happens when price cuts go on - the old stock cost the stores more, so they keep high prices while they paid less for new stuff, so it's cheaper

Went to the local big box DIY store yesterday for some "garage" shelving.
Came out with a portable air conditioner too!

One of my Nephews needed a new GPU so I gave him one meant for a build coming up in July. I have been waiting for the 6700/6750XTs to come down in price. I was surfing Newegg and got this for $424 on an Open box that is like $322 US.

34GN850P-B, a refurb with 50 hours of use. Around €200 cheaper than retail.

LG needs to be punished for them power bricks.
