I actually ripped all my switch games and use the emu on my pc now, its near as good as an actual switch. Not bothered about MP with it as i don't do it anyway. Not found a game that won't work on it yet, and the emu gets updated near every day

My new ACER 250hz 1080 24.5" display came today. HS! This thing is small and unbelievably smooth. I really can't believe it. Jumping from 144hz 34" UW here too. I bought it to help me continue to compete in CODMW MP. I still play well, but as Im older (I literally have the early CODs on CD and every copy since, sort of a fan, even though some of them sucked, WWII anyone?) Just want to continue to enjoy playing, and winning more than losing... EDIT It must be working... im Maestro0428

You have a fine memory... if I can start with the basics (motherboard, RAM and CPU) I may well build my own, figuring out the case, power supply, graphics card and drive later (using what I have till then).

For now my Core 2 Quad with Windows 10 on an SSD is snappy.

Take the back off, find the CMOS battery, unplug it. Unplug the AC and the system battery. Wait 5 minutes, plug it all back in, put the cover back on, enjoy. You might need to wipe and reinstall Windows after that, but it's not very difficult. If you need help with a few steps. Start a new thread, tag me and I'll walk you through it.

Luckily booting from external devices has not been disabled before they passworded the bios, i tried booting from a usb stick and it worked ok. I will see if i can buy the two bios chips, and program them, then just need to replace them on the board.

Thanks but this laptop is not supported, is too new.

It is still a really useable laptop and is really quick with the 11th gen chip in it, pwr button to win is 13 seconds, which is pretty quick.

I'm gonna pop and get another 8gb stick of ram from cex to make it dual channel 16gb though this morning, stick is £10 so may as well.

i too prefer seagate over wd as former is cheaper and almost as reliable if not more
one is almost 9 year old and other is 7yrs

Thought I'd try it. Unfortunately the bottom clip has no clearance to latch onto anything so I just let the top hook and the bottom rest on the back of the gpu back plate.

New parts for a build for a musician friend. Budget build. 12400, b660 32gb ddr4, 2tb nvme. Thing is one of the ram sticks is dead. Been RMAing Gskill more often lately (I do quite a few builds on the regular). Reseated the processor/heatsink and ram, tried multiple slots and just cant get past the red light. Hes gonna have to do with 16GB til I get get another kit in.
