What's that? I've never heard of it. :eek:
RG35XXPLUS-02.jpg

Very cool device. I agree with Frick though, it's a little on the small side. It's supposed to mimic the look and feel of the Gameboy, and that it does well.
At $60ish it's still a great deal.

Personally, I prefer this one;
RetroidPocket4Pro.jpg

Better form-factor, full Android and better specs. Granted, $185 too. To me worth it.

It is small, I have the H (Horizontal version) despite my small Asian hand it feel cramped, if you play shoulder button as well (like Gran Turismo 2 manual transmission) its gonna be hell to change gear because L2/R2 is on inner side, even if it raised slightly over L1/R1 you still gonna misclick. It's good for casual play, and plays PS1 games fluently, furthermore the native 640x480 makes it perfect to run PS1 games with no black border. I wanted to buy the RG40 with 4 inch screen but the button is still the same, it would be better if it uses PS controller button size and spacing. Pics as comparison.

I will never understand the designs on these handhelds, that looks like it would destroy my wrists when using the analog sticks.

that's one reason I love my Deck OLED, its big don't get me wrong, but damn it fits my hands perfect

See edit above, the Retroid 4Pro is my pick. However, there's also this one;
Just as capable, full Android and ships to the UK.

There's also the Retroid Pocket 3, which is a step up and worth it.
Also ships to the UK.

Had a look at the colors, and as I expected Clear Purple is sold out. That nostalgia hits hard. Honestly always loved those translucent purple Nintendo's. If Steam Deck 2 comes in a translucent purple, I am going to lose my mind. :roll:

I know you can mod a translucent purple, but it requires a bit of work with the screen removal and I am not brave enough, so yeah official only for me so I don't mess anything up.

I bought mine on AliExpress. I bought that specifically because it said it ships from France, but it didn't, it shipped from China.
The scouring, fire emblem?

Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade, for the GBA. Well spotted.

I looked at those kinds of consoles too, but I felt the joysticks would get in the way. I'm mostly interested in stuff up to the GBA and SNES/Mega Drive era stuff so joysticks wouldn't really be needed.

Exactly what that device is aimed toward, so it's a perfect selection in that regard.

Maybe here?
Just select Clear Purple and you should be able to get it.

Does that count that I bought 4x CR2032 batteries?

I have few motherboards (+ PS2) with dead CMOS battery
CMOS battery usually last long, except when you unlucky

Yeah I was looking into getting like a DS but for one thing they're pretty expensive and homebrewing requires tinkering and as I understand it finding the right version of the console, and at this point there is a LOT of versions.

You can add any emulator you like to it, it runs a version of ArchLinux iirc. Preloaded with mine was like all the systems.

Some of the better flashcarts are getting harder to find now too.
