Is it just me, or do those wires look a little on the thin side? They look good, just wondering about that GPU 12pin connector..
16 AWG so they're fine.

You're just used to a ton of braiding and excess material on top.

This strikes me a "iffy". You do realize that seller can not legally sell your returned items as new, right? You're effectively imposing a forced loss on them for no other reason than "I changed my mind".

Ah its fine he sells as open box and I get charged a restocking fee the only one that incurrs a loss is me financially BUT to avoid anymore toxic threads online, bloody worth it mate

I was looking at this board. It would be sweet in my Torrent Compact, but in my PA602 it would look redonkulous. This case makes full sized ATX look like m/ATX lol..

Gifting my WD AN1500 to my Nephew. Looking to take advantage of having 8 5.0 lanes on the 2nd PCie slot on my MB. Even today Asus sells the cheapest AIC for M2.

I was looking at the T705. Might as well go for the fastest. Then I went on Amazon and the T700 was like $100 less for 1TB. Of course I am getting 2 to run in RAID 0 for some serious sequential. There is also a program that Crucial has in their software that apparently vastly improves 4K QD to up to 1 Gb/s.

I will let everyone know how it performs.

What did you find disappointing about 3rd gen qd-oled? that's what mine is. I play in a very dim environment though (blackout curtains, etc) so never had any issues with that purple glow
- very low brightness and oversaturated colors. (AW2725DF with and without the ICC profile provided)
- vignette and excessive dimming of every kind of static icon
- massive VRR flicker
- very bad grey uniformity
- the weird shiny purple panel that has a barely cleanable and very sticky coating.
and first signs of burn in after 12 weeks... first i was paranoid with a fully black wallpaper, hidden taskbar and all icons moved to a second display and after a while i started using it like my LCDs and after ~1250 Hours i had a very slight but visible and permanent burned in taskbar which did not go away with a panel refresh that normally starts after a couple thousand hours.

in this price range i expect a no compromise and excellent product but it felt more like a proof of concept that needs another 5-6 years before it's ready for the market.

mine hasn't needed any cleaning yet, but when the time comes i am going to do this here to clean it:

fyi this only applies to qd-oled screens.

sorry you had burn in so quickly, i auto hide my taskbar and have no icons on desktop including recycle bin being removed. and a black background. i honestly have not had any issues. i let it do its pixel refresh every 4 hrs when it pops up on me though, i just take it as a good reason to go out and stretch my legs or do some jumping jacks or get a snack what have you, i actually kind of like that OLED pixel refreshes every 4 hrs, its a good little reminder for me to get my ass up for a bit.

mine has no ABL limiter as long as HDR is not on, so i have no dimming of anything

I wonder if the 240hz models are less prone to burn in maybe, I don't know, but I haven't had any issues. i have static stuff on my HP OLED laptop all the time and no burn in issues either, to be fair i leave it at min brightness most of the time as im in a dark room. (medium brightness when I game, for the extra color pop), its very rare i have it on max brightness though

i did the pixel refresh every 4 hours as well but in the end it still just took three months or in my case 1250 Hours of screen on time :/

well alienware has a 3 year burn in rapid replacement policy. i had a friend who used that policy recently on a 175hz ultrawide qd oled first gen panel. and they overnighted him a new display. so why not just do that?

Prepping for mobility issues after upcoming surgery. Everything in the entertainment center has a remote except the HTPC. Hopefully this SilverStone wireless power switch will fix that.

Also waiting for a used Gigabyte Z790M Aorus Elite ax MATX motherboard from ebay for my next build.

Bestbuy if you purchase their warranty is the only one I'm aware of assuming they can't fix it they give you a bestbuy gift card worth the purchase price. LG does stand by their 5 year panel warranty as long as they can't prove you damaged it on the G series.

During my move in 2023 the movers damaged my LG G2 but there was no physical damage and LG still replaced the panel ofc I didn't mention that. The movers warranty was based on weight of the television so I only got 200 usd the panel cost 1700 lol.

yeah you are right, best buy is the only one that honors a in-store warranty on burn in, even microcenter does not from what i can see. best buy is impressive, honestly if i ever buy another OLED, it probably will be at best buy and buy the in-store warranty for peace of mind
