which cheap ssd is better?

I need 1 cheap SSD to store games and windows. I'm on low budget. should I buy this

What is your budget? I assume you want a 1 TB SATA and between the two you suggested I would probably go for the patriot. Ive gotten DDR4 RAM from Patriot for a motherboard with no QC testing and it works wonderfully (hopefully reflects their SSDs but if not someone knows if their SSDs are worthwhile).

However there are a lot more options that might be more reliable such as the crucial MX500. That being said regardless of what you buy TEST THE SSD IMMEDIATELY. QC issues are bound to exist with these cheaper SSDs and you might get unlucky. Better to test immediately than have wasted money on a brick.

Edit: did brief research and unfortunately both companies have been known to swap SSD parts without saying anything. ATADA is apparently more infamous for this but Patriot has done this as well specifically with the VPN100. Not sure if it is still a problem.

Like T-cat suggested, Best Buy has the Crucial mx500 1tb for $57.99. You don't have to sacrifice quality to gain a bit of storage these days

Edit- I use the mx500 1tb in just about all of my mid to low end builds because its cheap and reliable (unless an m.2 is in the same ballpark). I've never had a problem with any of the 20 or 30 I've got out in the world currently. Some are ancient in todays standards.

Then forget about the ADATA or Patriot

I also have a Patriot Burst 128GB and MX500 1TB, no problems at all with them.
I bought the Patriot at a moment when i needed a smaller drive for fun build, and when the Crucials (MX, BX) were more expensive.
But when the MX500 is in same price range, i would 100% go for that SSD

Patriot burst is garbage. I think about half of the ones I bought over the years are already dead. Adata - also questionable. Their lower-end SATA SSDs tend to be unreliable garbage, but higher-end NVME SSDs are wa-a-ay more reliable. I have SX8200 Pro 1TB which survived many years of abuse, including frequent multi-hundred-GB copies of backups, playing around with chiacoin, moving between rigs, and ultimately using it as my dedicated games drive. Also have 2TB Adata Legend, which also had no issues at all (planning on buying the second one for NVME RAID).
At this time I moved on to HP S700. They are about as cheap as all of the ones above, but far more reliable. S650 is also fine, but I already had one dead(and according to peeps from service dept - I was the first one from the entire region with dead HP S700).
But, if you throw a few bucks on top - get a BX500 or MX500.
