Been using FDM for a while. Pretty clean interface and the speeds I get are max speeds for my connection, on most sites that is.
But, if you're not downloading often from file hosters and such, in built browser download mangers are the way to go. I only started using FDM because Chrome could not restart stopped downloads before.

Why not? It's free, open-source and works with and accelerates nearly everything.
You can even do stuff like feed it a youtube playlist or an instagram page and it'll build a list of all the pictures/videos in that container so you can leech everything.

You also need to thing about some places you download online from has a limit of total speed to u and others can handle like 1mbit on one connection and if u open like 5 connection to a site which is usually max they you can get a greater overall download speed but it doesn't always work.
