Which GPU for moderate video editing, streaming and gaming should I go for now that "everything" is sold out? Budget: about €600/$650

You can change the settings in resolve to use which gpu you want.
That does not mean it improves performance. To get the same performance from a Radeon that one would get from a 3060ti, one would need an RX6800.This is not true for all apps or games, but DR heavily favors NVidia GPU's at the moment. I'm speaking from experience on this point, not talking out of my bum..

Strictly speaking, it was not so much performance as stability. The most stable was running it on a i7-5600u with integrated graphics, vs the other two systems I tried were a m3-8100Y with iGPU and a i7-6700 with a R7 450.

The theoretically best system could hardly open it let alone run it. I can only blame the API.

In my experience, an Intel iGPU works better than an AMD card. I would recommend a 3060 TI, the brand doesn't really matter besides their cooling system design.

This would probably be your best bet. I doubt a 3070 would be worth the extra money.

No, the MSI card will be just fine and will have better cooling that the NVidia FE versions. If the 3060ti is what best suits your budget then go for it, especially that one which is well built.

Interesting inputs. How's the Gigabyte linked above vs the mentioned MSI, you reckon? Is there anything i should be worried about if i'd go for either of those, or will i be just fine? Will i have enough PSU power? Will it fit nicely inside my case? How's the cooling?

But yea, looking at the recommendations and all, 3060 ti is the way to go for me, especially budgetwise.

I appreciate all of you who're taking time to advise and help me with this! :respect:

MSI Ventus is not as good cooling. It's worse than my Asus Dual and I can tell you this card isn't excellent cooling.

It might be a Gigabyte, but the big heatsink / triple fan is a better solution. It should fit inside your Fractal, and the Supernova PSU will work.

Interesting. Then that Gigabyte seems to be the way to go. And yeah, that extra fan is a plus. I wonder how noisy that gpu is, compared to my 970...

Just out of curiosity, you say that the Gigabyte will be fine with my Supernova. Does that mean it won't "terminate" my pc when i am i.e multi-tasking or during rendering?

No, a good PSU like the Supernova won't shut itself down until you load it upwards of 650W, and you won't consume as much as you think you could. So it should be fine. Noise wise, shouldn't be too bad either.

I have the 3 fans Gigabyte model. I can undervolt it quite a bit. 0.875V at 1900 Mhz or 0.775V at 1700Mhz. The power consumption goes from stock about 210W to 170W or 130W with undervolt. The fan curve is a bit aggressive but it can be easily fixed from MSI Afterburner if it is too loud for your ears.

Interesting, so for the time being, i should not waste money on a new PSU since the one i have, will handle my current setup + the mentioned Gigabyte gpu just nicely. I like that idea!

Well, that's it then! Gigabyte 3060 ti is the one for me to aim for! Affordable and definitely within my price range, great reviews, reasonably quiet (and fixable if it's TOO loud), quiet when gaming, it will take care of my mentioned tasks more than nicely and it doesn't consume that much power, apparently. It's about 5cm wider/longer than the MSI, but that shouldn't be a problem, i guess. I should measure my current card to see how long that is.

Any other inputs you lot have on this? :)

Either way; muuuch appreciated for all the inputs, advises, pointers and suggestions, you all! Extra creds to @X71200 , @lexluthermiester , @Thimblewad , @Count von Schwalbe for getting me on the right track on my choice for a gpu! :respect: :respect: Like always; TPU to the rescue! :peace:

Hmmm, just wondering... I could not find it on google, but is there a difference between the LHR and Pro version of the mentioned Gigabyte 3060 ti..? And the Gigabyte Aorus 3060 ti Elite is a whole different gpu, yes..?

Thought i'd ask that so it makes more sense to me..

LHR is lowered hash rate for mining, wouldn't matter for your case of usage. As for the pre-overclocks, you can always adjust the OC yourself anyway. So no, I'd just pick the cheapest with the best build.

Out of curiosity, how do you define what is a good/best build?

@Count von Schwalbe no, i missed out on that deal, but there are some other stores who are going to have a price drop on that card in the upcoming weeks, so i'll go for it then.

You can check reviews like the ones here, good cooler, heatsink, etc... obviously add up to a good build. The dual fan Palit / Gainward for example is completely plastic shroud and not an excellent cooler. I know the plastic part doesn't matter as much, but still.
