Which low - mid tier GPU's are better right now?

That is irrelevant. You were comparing the 3050 6GB and saying it was slower than the 1650. The 3050 6GB is clearly far faster than the 1650 using the example given.

Personally, I go for lower TDP whenever possible not because of electricity cost, but because it's easier to cool, thus quieter. Of course, you have to consider individual cooling solutions, but as a rule of thumb, it holds up pretty well.

I never go for raw power, I was always able to find something in the mid range that would play anything I needed. And this discussion is about mid range GPUs.

"Simple"
Because not all PC users have the same priorities.

Some are after raw power no matter what (price, consumption, you name it...) and some are not.
Some are after best price/perf and others best perf/watt
Some like it silent no matter what and others don't

I could go on and on and on...

And funnily enough... there is not 1 right way to set up a PC, hardware wise.
Yes there are some basic rules but the diversity of the way you build it and the end result can be huge.
Other times rules are broken, for a reason or just because...

I know but I have owned 5700XT Red Devil which was one of the best models there is and never again I would want that card. 6600XT is better in many aspects.

The TPU rank charts are rough guesstimates, not edited to reflect more recent reviews. If you were interested in actual tested performance in modern games you'd read the reviews. That's why W1zz does them, so you can educate yourself.

In the review chart which I linked above for your convenience, the 3050 6GB is directly tested to be 21% faster than the 1060 6GB, which is a pretty "SUPER" difference when compared to the even slower 1650, about 45-50% faster.

yeah, sometimes rankings here are odd, but i suppose it's not the case bcuz 10 series is older than 16 series, altough still supported but.

My Asus TUF 5700 XT was quite poor because of the famous mounting pressure issue. It was basically an overheating mess throughout (GPU and VRAM alike). But I though that was only Asus.

First of all, it was a power hog for its performance class. 270W against my ex MSI2080Ti which was 300W.
Was quiet and did not have overheating issues but often fans kept spinning at full speed during idle state. Nothing could do about it. Sent to RMA and got a new one, same thing with fans. Tried clean drivers, clean Windows, BIOS flashing - nothing. I really hated that GPU due to its quirks. And than mining craze appeared so I sold it to some miner who said those issues doesn't bother him

In 2nd rig I had testing XFX RX6600XT. Somewhat better performance (5-10%, game dependable), cool, quiet, lower power consumption by 100+W and zero issues. That's why I would pick 6600XT hands down before 5700XT. 5700XT is not a bad card but in my opinion, was not finished/polished product, looked to me a bit rushed after Vega disappointment.

As far as I know most AIB 5700XTs were within AMDs power budget, meaning about 220~240W with a few exceptions. ASUS TUF was not one of them.

I had the MSI Gaming X and it was excellent in every aspect, for a 5700XT...
ASUS really screwed the whole 5700XT line with both ROG Strix and TUF models, for different reasons
I was waiting for the ROG but when first reviews came out I turn to thinking about Gaming X and Red Devil.
I chose MSI Gaming X at the end for near AMD MSRP price. The Nitro+ was way more expensive.

Depends on your play style. I'm totally fine with 60 FPS (says someone with a 144 Hz monitor).

And depends of the game. Most console-ish games are fine for me at 4K60 IF the framerate is stable (says someone with a 4K120 monitor)
