I was looking for a second monitor and I came around to these options.

PD2700Q ($329 USD) - friend recommended

P2719HC ($370 USD) - dell staff recommended

UP2716D ($400 USD) - me looking around

U2417H ($200 USD) - probably best value

looking for great -accurate- color and nice sharp images, preferably 27 inches and under 400 bucks.
Are there better options? let me know pls

UP2716D - because it uses a 10bit panel and IPS with bigger resolution. 10bit panel should be better for colours

The BenQ has 10-bit as well. Why are we discounting it exactly? Just wondering, as it's much cheaper.

I actually didnt see this believe it or not. Dell has better warranty for the money spent.

::EDIT::

They both have a 3 year warranty period but the DELL has something called 'Premium Panel Guarantee' which means if your panel arrives with any dead pixels - you can send it back for another.

So I guess its a case of do you want to pay that extra for 'insurance' or would you rather just take a chance and hope your BenQ has no dead pixels.

the benq comes with that dual color mode and darkroom mode
apart from the warranty, also has that norton purchase guarantee

Well I dont know - Id be weary of 3rd or 4th party companies that offer warranty. At least with Dell, youre dealing directly with them so its less of a hoop to jump through whereas with a 3rd or 4th party it could take them a while to respond to you -- 'IF' they respond to you. They become the middleman between you and the retailer and the manufacturer. So if something does go wrong, its going to take a long time for anything to get processed and travel up the chain of command.

I see that Norton offers this 'satisfaction guaranteed' thing up to $1000 - it doesnt cover hardware issues directly but i guess it can work.

If youre already a paying customer then knock yourself out.

Dell monitor warranty is useless. I bought a 30" monitor U3011 or something like that, along with a 5-years extended warranty with advanced replacement. Monitor went bad less than 30 days I got it. Called Support, and was offered an option of a refurbished monitor, or keep the bad one. No other choice. I would never buy a Dell again. Although to their credit, the refurbished monitor is still working today (6? years later)

UP2716D also having 10bit color gamount it has 100% ADOBE RGB coverage

Dell UP also feature LUT calibration which is more accurate than just creating ICC profile via colorimeter.
Paired it with i1 display pro and you will be fine for several years.

I'm not a graphic designer but I appreciate color quality. I started researching 27in monitors and ending up finding these absolute gems. AOC Q3279VWFD8 32" 10bit with Freesync. It was so good, I bought a second one. Currently on Amazon for $230 USD. They have a few minor quirks, no VESA mounts, stand is not the best quality either but it's good enough. Funny thing is, I set out with every intention to buy only premium brands but you can't touch these features for this price. These have completely changed my view on displays. Check out the this review, 99% sRGB and 89% Adobe. We'll see if last 5 years like my Samsung, ASUS, Viewsonic and LG products have...

@ExelarXLR
the Asus equivalent to the benq had a tick better reviews, and they use the same panel anyway.
i got the 32in and only miss more real estate.

@FordGT90Concept
ips is usually crap for accurate colors, nor do i see it doing 10 bit (12 bit lookup) on the panel.
Not even talking about it being used.

-_-
Is a dead thread. The OP was last seen Jun 24, 2019. Don't necro pls.

didn't pay attention to the date...
buy then it shouldn't show up on the main forum page as a thread (needing advise), and wouldn't have posted something.

and the system/mods/admins could just close the thread and block ppl from posting, if its too old and they really dont want ppl to necro it.

If anything I'd look at NEC
