That is easily dealt with by disabling the service " DiagTrack " and then deleting it. After that, even "Basic" telemetry is disabled. Locking down Windows 10 is possible, but it takes a delivered effort and requires a few compromises.

Cortana, Edge, Internet Explorer, Telemetry and if you want to use your own security programs/suite, Windows Defender can all be removed(deleted) not just disabled.
But what about reporting issues? Microsoft needs to know if things go wrong. If you don't have telemetry enabled, even Basic Mode, you have no room to complain if shit goes wrong.

But go ahead, disable that stuff. If you have problems, don't come crying to me and you better not bitch about how shit went wrong because you have nobody but yourself to blame.

MICROSOFT NEEDS TO KNOW!!!

That's what proper beta testing is for. The general public is not Microsoft's beta testers.

Sure we do. If Microsoft releases a product that has problems and has not been fully tested, it is absolutely their fault and fully their accountability.

Why would anyone come to you? Seriously with that?

No, we have Microsoft to blame.
MICROSOFT NEEDS TO PROPERLY AND COMPLETELY TEST THEIR SOFTWARE BEFORE RELEASE!!!
Fixed that for you. This, of course, includes updates.

The nonsense Microsoft has tried to make the public accept is one of the main reasons people have been very resistant to adoption of Windows 10 and likely has something to do with it's recent decline. I wonder if that will continue?

BULLSHIT!!! But where do I start?

Ah yes, I'll start with Apple. Apple controls the whole of their ecosystem, everything from how their hardware is designed to 95% of their software ecosystem. They have very few hardware configuration varieties when compared to the Windows world. And yet, even with their limited hardware and software ecosystem even Apple can't get it right all the time. In fact, there have been a number of real doozies of bugs in the Apple camp but of course you don't hear about it here but trust me, as a person who has an iPhone I tend to keep my ear to the ground in the Apple communities and I hear just as much complaining about how Apple can't get their shit right. You'd think that with Apple's limited hardware and software ecosystem they'd get every damn thing right. Right? But they don't!!!

And now we come to Microsoft. We expect Windows to run on damn near everything. Everything from high-end servers to custom-built high-end gaming systems with premium hardware to even a cheap piece of shit Dell that uses that cheapest shit hardware Dell can find to even a Frankenstein box cobbled together from pieces strewn about in someone's attic. That amounts to billions, if not TRILLIONS of hardware configurations. And then let's lop on top of that the fact that every single one of these TRILLIONS of hardware configurations are running different combinations of software. We're talking everything from different drivers and versions of those drivers loaded, different antivirus software, etc. Oh shit, all of that makes for a number of configurations that are as numerous as the stars in the night sky.

Oh... but we expect Microsoft to be perfect! Right guys? PERFECT! Beta testing will solve everything! Again... BULLSHIT!!! I come back to my first half on this post. If Apple can't even get it right on their limited hardware and software ecosystem, just how the fuck do you think Microsoft can? That's right... THEY CAN'T!!!

But keep believing Microsoft is stupid and all, meanwhile I'll sit back and marvel at the sheer thought that Windows even works let alone boots, bugs and all. Why? Because I understand just how complicated all of this shit is.
