I don't understand why XFX would release a mid cycle 7900 XTX with lower boost clock than the Sapphire/AsRock flagship variants...

probably had extra stock so why not.

I own this card and its great the aesthetics on this match better with my case than the Sapphire / AsRock models. And the difference in boost clock is minimal and its margin of error stuff when looking at max overclock speeds.

They must be overstocked. Normally at this point in the cycle we are getting binned variants.
