Thanks for the response. I'm leaning toward SSHD for economic reasons. The pure SSD's are very interesting but a little pricey for me at the moment. I'm looking to cut my boot times from a current four minutes to somewhere in the two minute neighborhood. I think a pair of good Hybrid drives may be the solution. Time will tell.:confused:

I had a SSHD in 2014 once as my storage drive, it was 2.5 by seagate, its in a box somewhere, the thing had no means to control its power properties, no software to make the firmware on it stay in max performance mode, so it would go into sleep mode on its own and it was a lag fest in gaming, i replaced it with a velociraptor, and lag disappeared, so do your research. I hope firecuda has software to change the firmware settings on it.
