Even as NVIDIA prevents its AIC (add-in card) partners from coming up with custom-design GeForce GTX TITAN-X graphics cards, ZOTAC seems to have found its way around that, either by using a loophole that allows partners to come up with TITAN-series cards with "factory fitted water blocks," or NVIDIA is loosening up on its custom-design policy for the SKU, in the wake of GTX 980 Ti not being faster than the GTX TITAN-X, and competition from AMD "Fiji XT" graphics card. The result, is the GeForce GTX TITAN-X ArcticStorm (model number: ZT-90402-10P).

This card comes with a hybrid air+liquid cooling solution. You can run it either as a conventional air-cooled graphics card, care of its meaty IceStorm triple-fan heatsink, which is carried over from the company's recent AMP! Omega SKUs; or plumb the card to a liquid-cooling loop. The fans stay off when the GPU is below a 65°C temperature threshold (or when the liquid-cooling loop is active). Even with the fans off and the liquid cooling loop handling the GPU, the heatsink cools the 12 GB of memory and VRM. The card offers factory-overclocked speeds of 1026 MHz core, 1114 MHz GPU Boost (compared to 1000/1086 MHz reference), and an untouched 7.00 GHz memory. ZOTAC will display the card at Computex 2015. The company will give this card a worldwide launch.

I remember Gigabyte was bundling cooler with their GPU as nVidia didn't allow for non-reference coolers with their GPU couple of years back. Looks like Zotac has found a serious loophole in nvidia conditions. This means Asus can bring their Poseidon series of Titan-X cards soon.

I've always had to rip off my cooler and go with a custom water-block setup. I can't stand the pathetic coolers all these companies add on.
I lapped my 2x Titan-X's before I even installed them as well as my XSPC water-block for them and never looked back.
In-fact, the only cooler I can allow to be installed for a while until I get fed up with the sound are the AMD reference coolers which seem to cool the cards reasonably well but sound like your in a jet about to take off!
Some might say that I am being extreme, but my GPU thanks me for my efforts :P

I am actually impressed Zotac, at least they have a solution other than the standard cooler available that is not just a straight up water block for the people who prefer air cooling. Would be nice to see a review of this cooler in action on air and on water.

Really good looking card.

not much of a OC for so much added cooling. I guess they have to assume you might now have the water block connected to a loop?

I can imagine it would take much of a loop to cool two of these. a 120x2 radiator would likely be plenty,.... the fans could surely pick up the extra heat.

So this is 3rd custom cooled Titan X, all with water cooling/hybrid water cooling. So does nvidia allow custom cards with clause, that it has to be water cooled.

That seems to be the basic clause regarding the Titan cards.

Probably to keep power consumption and noise down. These coolers are not exactly amazing on air from what I have heard (I am not speaking about this one specifically but the others from the past) and mostly want to be liquid cooled to actually achieve some serious clocks.

I have been really impressed with zotac lately. They have done some great stuff with the latest series of gpu's.

I have to agree with the OP saying Nvidia is up to something allowing the release of all these alternate cooler Titans, and that may be the knowledge of FijiXT actually being faster than TitanX.

The recent spite of non reference cooler releases seem to point in that direction, Maxwell loves low temps and can easily reach 1500MHz when under water, I think this is a preemptive strike to soften the blow of AMD taking the fastest single GPU crown back from the green team.

Makes me really excited. I kind of wish I waited instead of getting my 970 but oh well. I have been happy gaming with it for months now.

Exciting times indeed, that 970 of yours will rock for many years to come, if you're not afraid of going SLI, I'm pretty sure once the new wave of cards hit the channel, you'll even be able to get a second, discounted 970 for a sweet, extremely fast rig :rockout:

Never been a fan of sli. I always feel like it is not worth it when scaling isn't 100%. I do fold which does scale 100% and could use it. For what I do, it is overkill. Most games I play lately aren't very demanding, and I am only doing 1080p(120hz). I just really prefer one strong gpu.
