The case is custom made from a steel box from Ikea.
CPU cooler isn't connected at all.
All cooling is ensured by 2x 120mm fans (one blowing in, one out of the box).
Wonderful angel eye button :-)
I wanted something that looks more like a furniture accessory. This PC works for over 12 years now. It even got an update to a i5 3470S recently.
Perhaps grills on the fans inside-facing to ensure that wires do not get caught up in the blades?
This is a really small criticism... to have that completely finished look those holes on the backside should be something (HD light, etc) or filled (rivet, screw, nut/bolt).

There are many many other problems to tackle. This is my very first mod and indeed, could use a lot more attention ;-) Thank you. Especially for the criticism :-)
The Terrible PuddleLove what you did with the power supply.
Shortening the cables a little would make it perferct.
Thanks a lot. First I wanted to mount the complete PSU including the box, but I think that wouldn't fit. Now there is only one problem: DON'T OPEN WHILE RUNNING!!! :-D Only if you know what you are doing! :-)
Hmmmm ... where are my scissor ... indeed, cables need to be shorter! Thanks.
I like this rig ! And i admire that you avoid using a bought case. I like that you eliminated PSU fan, but one thing is alarming: The PSU is lethal ! If you let the supply cable connected and open your case, you can simply make a short-circuit and destroy your PC, or get electric shock.
I hope this is not your case, but in some PSUs are even heatsinks under voltage !
(In the past i created some passively cooled PSUs from efficient conventional PSUs and safety was the most important thing !) :fear:

Thanks for the comment ;-) Don't worry my PSU heat sinks are grounded. But, actually you shouldn't touch anything in a PC while it's on :-)
Dakujem za koment ;-) Neboj, moje chladice na PSU su zemnene. A inac sa netreba hrabat v PC ak je zapnute :-)
