Upcoming AOOSTAR WTR MAX NAS Packs 11 Drive Bays - 5 for SSDs, 6 for HDDs

AOOSTAR announced that the WTR MAX NAS will soon hit the market, after almost a year of development. The WTR MAX is equipped with the AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 8845HS processor, which outperforms consumer grade 8845HS series, a good choice from AOOSTAR. Another interesting feature is the ECC (Error Correcting Code) memory support. However, there's another feature that stands out as well. Users can install no less than 11 drives in the WTR MAX NAS: five SSDs (three PCIe 4.0 X2.0 and two PCIe 4.0 X1.0) and six HDDs, making it ideal for those needing large storage capacity. AOOSTAR included Oculink and USB4 ports too, so you can plug in an external GPU or more storage options.

Specifications are complemented by two 10G Ethernet ports and two 2.5G Ethernet ports. On the front, you'll find USB4, Type-C, and SD card slots. The NAS comes with its own screen to keep an eye on the system in real time. You can check things like how hot the CPU is, how the memory's doing, and how well the drives are working. Also, you can pick from different themes for the display - default, cartoon style, and cyberpunk (they're planning to add more themes and options in the future). AOOSTAR is going to start selling the WTR MAX NAS at the end of March for just $699.

AOOSTAR WTR Pro NAS Updated With Intel N150 'Twin Lake' CPU

AOOSTAR is a relatively well-known brand of mini PCs and eGPUs. The WTR Pro is hardly any different from a mini PC, although its hefty four-bay storage capacity allows it to function as a decently well-equipped home NAS as well. Folks who are interested in the system will be pleased to know that the system has now been upgraded with Intel's six-watt N150 processor. Of course, the quad-core N150 "Twin Lake" processor is far from a performance-class product, although it does offer enough computing grunt to allow the system to push through non-intensive workloads well enough, outpacing the N100 chip that the WTR Pro previously rocked by a small margin.

The rest of the WTR Pro appears mostly unchanged, boasting room for four 3.5-inch drives and a single M.2 2280 SSD slot. A single SODIMM slot is also present, which can accommodate up to 32 GB of DDR4-3200 memory according to AOOSTAR, although the N150 processor is officially rated for a maximum 16 GB of memory only. The dual 2.5 G LAN ports should be enough for a small home networking setup, and the rest of the ports on offer are pretty decent as well, including dual USB 3.0 Type-A, dual USB 2.0 Type-A, USB-C, microSD, DisplayPort, HDMI 2.1and an audio jack. The system is already available for purchase on Amazon, with a price of $339 (after a $30 coupon) for the N150-powered variant with no memory or storage.

AOOSTAR N1 Pro Mini PC Launched with Impressively Compact Chassis and Dual 2.5G Ethernet

Right now, all eyes are on the ever-so-compact Mac Mini with the M4 SoC. But that hardly stops other brands from coming out with Mini/SFF PCs with even tinier form factors, and AOOSTAR is no stranger to that trend.

The brand's latest offering, the N1 Pro, rocks a shockingly compact chassis, coming in at just 0.33 liters and weighing just over 300 grams. The system is clearly extremely compact, and can be hauled around pretty easily with very little effort. That said, the system's compactness comes with a major drawback: performance.

AOOSTAR Unveils XG76 and XG76 XT eGPUs with OCuLink, USB4 and Relatively Affordable Pricing

The prominent Chinese brand AOOSTAR has unveiled its XG lineup of RDNA 3-based eGPUs. Consisting of the XG76 and the XG76 XT, the eGPUs are powered by the AMD Radeon RX 7600M with 28 CUs and the desktop-class RX 7600 XT with 32 CUs respectively, both with a 150 W TDP. These GPUs are plenty performant, and are likely to offer respectable 1080p gaming performance.

Similar to offerings from competitors such as GPD and Ayaneo, the XG lineup features dock functionality as well. Both the variants sport USB4 connectivity with up to 100 W of power delivery. Display output is taken care of by the dual DisplayPort 2.0 ports, and a single HDMI 2.1 port. The system also rocks OCuLink support, allowing for a significantly lower performance hit when compared to Thunderbolt 4 or USB4.

AOOSTAR Launches GEM13 Mini PC with AMD Ryzen 7 Hawk Point

AOOSTAR has released a new Mini PC for its GEM series powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 Hawk Point processor. Despite its compact size (130 mm x 126 mm x 45 mm), the AOOSTAR GEM13 integrates an AMD Ryzen R7 8845HS Octa-Core processor with 16 threads, running at speeds of up to 5.1 GHz, and an NPU for AI with up to 38 TOPS. It includes a powerful 12-core Radeon 780M iGPU RDNA 3 that reaches a speed of 2.7 GHz. This setup should be sufficient to support a wide range of applications and games running in 720p and 1080p resolution. For internal memory and storage, it supports up to 32 GB DDR5 5600 MHz and up to 1 TB storage via an M.2 2280 NVMe PCIe x4 SSD. Inside, there is enough space to install an additional 2.5" SATA internal storage unit.

For network connectivity, it features a combination of WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and two RJ45 2.5G network ports. As for interfaces, it sports 2x USB 3.0 ports, 2x USB 2.0 ports, a full front USB-C, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and two HDMI 2.1 video outputs. It also has a USB4 Type-C with DisplayPort 1.4 data, power, and video output that could be used for an eGPU to increase gaming performance. The AOOSTAR GEM13 comes with a small 100 W external power supply and Windows 11 Pro as the operating system.
