Ergonomically optimized for sim racing, the CSL Elite Steering Wheel Porsche Vision GT features a versatile input layout, including two buttons built into the rim—another first for a Fanatec wheel. It features seven rotary encoders, including two multi-position switches and a 7-way FunkySwitch. The four primary encoders are automatically assigned to Gran Turismo 7's MFD system, allowing quick access to traction control, brake balance, torque split, and fuel mapping. The Tuning Menu button is seamlessly integrated into the Porsche crest, allowing for real-time force feedback adjustments via the OLED display.

Taiwan based manufacturer Aerocool is announcing the new addition to its product portfolio. Brand new GT series aims for ambitious gamers and enthusiasts, coming with total of eight different models starting with 500 Watts and ending with 1.050 Watts. The acronym "GT" is coming from the Italian words "Gran Turismo", which stand for high-performance luxurious racing cars, built for long distance racing. Aerocool engineers too the challenge seriously both for designing the exterior as well as the interior.

New GT Series is split in two different model-ranges where one is certified with 80PLUS Bronze and the other with 80 PLUS Gold! Hence assures an efficiency of at least 85% respectively 90%. Aerocool achieved this by using two VRM modules, which are using one choke contrary to commonly used designs. This allows the two 12 Volts rails to have a maximum voltage deviation of only 3%, which is lower compared to the required 5% by Intel's specifications. Aerocool aims to deliver high efficiency and stability especially during long load sessions with its new GT PSU Series.

When it first came out, Sony's PlayStation 3 game console was the easiest way to have a Blu-ray disc (BD) player, because the console uses BD as its primary media. With a new firmware update from Sony, users can add Blu-ray 3D support. It is especially interesting because not every older standalone Blu-ray player supports the latest 3D format. Firmware update 3.50 applies to all versions of the PlayStation 3 (that's Slim and the original design). The move to let the PS3 have Blu-ray 3D support was backed by an announcement that upcoming game titles on the PS3, such as Gran Turismo 5 and Killzone 3 will come in stereoscopic 3D.

Verbatim today announced a pair of Gran Turismo (GT) themed portable hard drives. Measuring 78 (W) x 118 (L) x 16 (H) mm, and weighing a little over 150 g, Verbatim's GT drives can carry 500 GB of data. The drives come in swanky red or black colors with the stripes characterizing GT. On the other hand they USB 2.0 for connectivity and power, and feature a "green button" that reduces power draw by sending the drive into a standby mode. The Verbatim GT is accompanied by Nero BackItUp, and Nero Burn Essentials. It is priced at 88.50 EUR.

Sony has finished the list of tracks that will take place in the North American soundtrack for Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, the fifth installment of the billion-dollar selling racing franchise developed exclusively for PS3 by Polyphony Digital Inc. The official Gran Turismo 5 Prologue soundtrack will include an edgy soundtrack that mixes an aesthetic audio blending of indie dance rock, electronica, classic rock and brand new remixes by some of today's hottest recording artists such as Weezer, Mars Volta and DJ Shadow, among others. Gran Turismo 5 Prologue will be available in April for $39.99 SRP on Blu-ray Disc and as a download via PLAYSTATION Store.

Sony has revealed the full feature list of Polyphony Digital's PS3 racing title Gran Turismo 5 Prologue this morning. The game will include six tracks including Suzuka Circuit, Eiger Nordwand, Fuji Speedway, London City Track, Daytona International Speedway and High Speed Ring. Prologue will also feature a Drift Mode, an in-depth car tuning system, two player split-screen racing, 16-player online races, and new online and offline racing events. Gran Turismo 5 Prologue will hit the PlayStation 3 on April 17 for a price of $39.99, available for download on the PlayStation Store or at retail. Last but not least, 25 new hi-res screenshots were also provided thanks to the guys over at Shacknews.

In addition to the Metal Gear Solid 4 PS3 released in the US and Canada, Sony has two new PS3 bundles being readied for the European market. These include a special Gran Turismo 5 Prologue version which will launch alongside the game in the Spring. The pack includes the game, 40GB console and one Sixaxis controller. The second bundle is a Movie Pack, with a 40GB console, single controller and three Blu-ray movies replacing the usual game: Spiderman 3, 300 and Casino Royale. Both bundles are expected to come in at the current price points.

Today at the Game Developer's Conference (GDC), Logitech announced the Logitech Driving Force GT racing wheel, the official wheel of Gran Turismo. Featuring powerful force feedback and an innovative 24-position real-time adjustment dial for on-the-fly control of brake bias, traction and damper settings, the Logitech Driving Force GT gives gamers the most accurate and authentic PLAYSTATION 3 (PS3) racing experience.

SCEA announced today the April 17 North American release date for Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, available exclusively for PS3. Developed by famed Polyphony Digital, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue will be available for $39.99 on Blu-ray Disc (BD) and as a download via the PLAYSTATION Store. The BD version will offer added value with an exclusive behind-the-scenes High Definition (HD) video feature called "Beyond the Apex". Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc. (SCEA), publisher of the Gran Turismo series, the world's best selling racing game franchise with over 47 million units shipped worldwide, hosted the fifth annual Gran Turismo Awards last night in conjunction with the 2007 SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) auto show in Las Vegas. This year's highly anticipated event featured a distinguished line-up of automotive entries from top SEMA show exhibitors representing five categories, all vying for the coveted "Best in Show" title, which went to Marcel Horn for his 2007 Audi TT. For the top honor, Marcel Horn's exceptional 2007 Audi TT will be immortalized as a featured vehicle in a future iteration of the Gran Turismo franchise, allowing millions of fans worldwide to race his vehicle. Last year's Best in Show award winning 1960 Chevrolet Corvette will be unveiled in Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, available on PS3 computer entertainment system in North America in 2008.

Sony, Polyphony Digital and the BBC are teaming up to provide multiple Top Gear content in forthcoming PlayStation 3 title Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. Users will be able to download episodes of TV show Top Gear through Gran Turismo TV, with a total of 40 episodes available over the PlayStation Network. Additionally, the Top Gear Test Track - where show host Jeremy Clarkson and team test drive the latest cars - will be replicated in Gran Turismo 5.
