Acemagic, a German mini-PC developer, has an interesting product booth at Computex 2024. We stopped by to take a look and found the exciting world of mini-PC solutions. Among the first products, we looked at the Z1A dual-screen laptop solution. Featuring two 14.1-inch 1080p IPS displays sitting side by side, the Z1A laptop is powered by Intel's Alder Lake Core i7-1265U or i7-1255U CPUs with Intel Iris Xe graphics. Weighting 1.8 kg, the laptop has a 4000 mAh battery and accommodates two M.2 2280 NVMe drives in combination with LPDDR4 memory left empty for users to install. The computer features WiFi 6 and BlueTooth 5.2 connectivity options and has an IO port selection that includes a USB 3.0, HDMI 2.0, and two USB Type-C connectors (one for data and one for charging and data).

Intel has released the latest version of its Arc GPU Graphics Drivers, version 101.5234 WHQL. This appears to be a major update as it brings Game On Driver support for Arc A-Series Graphics for plenty of new games including Enshrouded, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Tekken 8, and the recently released and quiet popular Palworld, as well as Game On Driver support on Intel Core Ultra CPUs with Intel Arc Graphics for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Tekken 8, and Palworld.

The new drivers also bring plenty of game performance improvements for a rather extensive list of games for both Arc A-series Graphics and Intel Core Ultra CPUs with Arc Graphics. These improvements range anywhere from 4 percent, up to 268 percent, and include both DirectX 11 and DirectX 12 titles. You can check out the full list below. Intel also fixed a couple of issues, including Alan Wake 2 white corruption issue on reflective surfaces, Sons of the Forest corruption on the item text issue, and issues with Intel Smooth Sync in some DirectX 11 titles. Intel today released the latest version of Arc GPU Graphics Drivers. Version 101.4887 beta adds support for the new Arc A580 desktop graphics card, which you'll hear more about soon. The drivers also add optimization for "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III" (beta), "Total War: Pharaoh," and "Lords of the Fallen." The drivers also offer performance improvements for "Starfield," with up to 117% performance uplifts at 1080p with Ultra settings, and up to 149% uplifts at 1440p with High settings, as measured with an Arc A770.

The drivers also introduce performance uplifts for "Forza Motorsport," with up to 8% uplift at 1080p with Ultra settings; and "F1 23," which now yields up to 12% gains at 1440p with Ultra High settings; and up to 136% at 4K with Ultra High settings. With this release, Intel fixed a bug that caused "Minecraft" (DirectX 12) to exhibit color corruption in night scenes with DXR ray tracing enabled.

Intel Graphics has released the latest version of the Intel Arc GPU Graphics drivers, version 101.4672 Beta. Although a bit late to the party, the new drivers brings optimizations for Bethesda's Starfield game, with reduced game load duration, instability and visual artifacts fixes, as well as Game On support for NExT Studios' SYNCED game.

The new 101.4672 Beta drivers do not appear to bring any further improvements or fixes and appear mostly focused on supporting the Starfield game. There are still plenty of issues with Starfield but Intel notes that further fixes are coming in future driver updates.

Intel Graphics has released Arc GPU and Iris Xe Graphics Drivers version 101.4502 WHQL. There are no gaming highlights or brand new Game On Driver support included in this release, according to the notes. An Arc-related iTunes application crash (upon launch) has been fixed, as well as blank screen and error messages encountered in Microsoft Edge's WebView2. There are plenty of "Known Issues" listed this time—Intel and EA Sports are looking into a problem where adjustments to XeSS presets cause crashes in F1 2023. Intel is in the process of discontinuing its eleventh generation Tiger Lake-U CPU lineup according to the company's own Product Change Notification (PCN) system. Team Blue's database points to the final batch of (x86 Willow Cove architecture) processors getting shipped out on December 29, with an October 2023 cutoff point for last orders. These 11th Gen Core units (with Iris Xe iGPUs) have been part of laptops, mobile devices and small-form-factor (SFF) systems since launching in 2020. Intel started the end-of-life (EOL) for more powerful variants (some Tiger Lake-H models and the entire Tiger Lake-B range) back in April of this year.

Tiger Lake was an early example of a 10 nm++ SuperFin product, with improved production yields leading to the creation of high performance gaming laptop CPUs (the aforementioned H and B models), alongside the basic low power U-series. Intel has also added Tiger Lake-H35 models to the discontinuance list (totaling 42 models), and a trio of 500-series chipsets that were designed to accommodate their embedded 11th generation processor family: RM590E, HM570E and QM580E. Plenty of Tiger Lake-based stock still exists on the market, but Intel will be very keen to clear that excess - in favor of making way for its 12th and 13th generation product ranges.
