Apricorn's Aegis Secure Key 3NX USB 3.2 Flash Key Receives FIPS 140-2 Level 3 Validation

Apricorn, the leading manufacturer of software-free, 256-bit AES XTS hardware-encrypted USB data storage devices, today announced that FIPS 140-2 level 3 validation has been awarded to the Aegis Secure Key 3NX by the National Institute of Standards and Technology. This level of certification serves to authorize a device's use in industries and institutions -- healthcare, finance, defense, and legal; both nationally and globally -- in compliance with stringent data security regulations such as HIPAA, FERPA, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, and GDPR.

Originally released in late 2018, the Aegis Secure Key 3NX employs the latest Apricorn Secure Key encryption chipset while delivering cooler operating temperatures and a wider range of storage capacities than its predecessor, the Secure Key 3z.

Razer Announces Tartarus Pro Keypad with Analog Optical Switches

Razer, the leading global lifestyle brand for gamers, today announced the Razer Tartarus Pro. The newest member of Razer's renowned Tartarus keypad family is the first keypad fitted with analog optical switches designed to provide gamers with superior control in games. The Tartarus Pro is equipped with Razer Analog Optical Switches, enabling the keypad to measure how deep each key is pressed. This allows the Tartarus Pro to emulate analog input similar to controller thumbsticks. Additionally, gamers can adjust the actuation point between 1.5 mm for a faster keystroke, or up to 3.6 mm for a deeper, and more deliberate press.

At the heart of the Razer Analog Optical Switches, an infrared light beam passes through switch stem, while a sensor measures the depth of the switch based on how much light passes through. As such, the switches can register scaling levels of input in the same keystroke. This lets advanced users take advantage of dual-function keys to bind two functions to each key - one that triggers on a partial keystroke, and another on a full keystroke. With dual-function keys, the Razer Tartarus Pro can help ease complex key presses and level up the gaming experience by adapting to the user's playstyle and requirement.

Razer Introduces the Naga Trinity Gaming Mouse and Tartarus V2 Gaming Keypad

Razer, the leading global lifestyle brand for gamers, today announced the Razer Naga Trinity gaming mouse and Razer Tartarus V2 gaming keypad. The customizable mouse and keypad can adapt to a wide range of games and playstyles, particularly Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) and Massive Multiplayer Online (MMO) games.

The Razer Naga Trinity, the ninth iteration of the best-selling Razer Naga family, is a modular mouse featuring three interchangeable side plates. Users can opt for the iconic original 12-button thumb grid of the Razer Naga Chroma designed for MMO games like "World of Warcraft", or the seven-button thumb wheel of the Razer Naga Hex V2 for MOBA and hack-and-slash titles like "Heroes of the Storm" and "Diablo III." A new two-button configuration completes the trifecta, sporting a minimalistic feel that is perfect for general use.

Aegis Secure Key 3.0 Announced with 480GB Capacity

Apricorn, the leading manufacturer of software-free, hardware-encrypted USB drives, added three new sizes to their already expansive Aegis Secure Key 3.0 line, raising the total number of capacity options to seven (8, 16, 30, 60, 120, 240, and 480 GB.) With last year's introduction of the 240GB Aegis Secure Key 3, Apricorn had already doubled the storage capacity of the nearest competitor. This year, Apricorn has again doubled down on that size advantage with their new 480GB Secure Key: roughly four times the competition's max size of 120GB. And with the falling cost of flash storage, these larger capacity, super secure hardware-encrypted flash keys have rapidly become the ideal tool for corporate data security deployment.

"This is our most advanced product to date; besides packing half a terabyte of encrypted data into a thumbdrive, we have expanded its feature set to surpass any rival," says Mike McCandless, Apricorn's VP of Sales and Marketing. "And keeping true to the Apricorn tradition, The ASK 3.0 is completely software-free, cross-platform compatible with any OS, and has embedded authentication so no security parameters are ever shared with the host."
