Gateway today introduced three new high-definition LED monitors that combine leading-edge technology and superb functionality in a sleek, ultra-slim design. Iiyama Intros Two ProLite 22-inch Full HD Monitors

Iiyama introduced two affordable 22" LCD monitors under the ProLite series, starting at 144 EUR. This includes the E2208HDD-1, and the B2209HDS-1. Both monitors have a resolution of 1920 x 1080 (full-HD), while the E2208HDD-1 has a response time of 5 ms, with dynamic contrast ratio of 10,000:1 (1,000:1 static), brightness of 300 cd/m2, and connectivity which includes DVI and D-Sub, the ProLite B2209HDS-1 is snappier with 2 ms response time, 20,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, D-Sub, DVI and HDMI for input, and built-in 2W stereo speakers. The B2209HDS-1 goes for around 198 EUR.

AOC Announces iF23 LCD Monitor

AOC, one of the top global players in providing the best value display technology,has released a new series of LCD Monitors featuring superior IPS (in-plane switching) panels. Gateway Intros New Widescreen HD Monitors

Gateway announced two new widescreen LCD monitors in its ranks. The FHD2102 bmidgz is a 21.5 inch display, while the FHD2402 bmidgz is 24 inch. Both offer a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, and brightness of 300 cd/m². While the FHD2102 offers access time of 5 ms and dynamic contrast ratio of 20000:1, the FHD2402 provides 2 ms of access time and 40000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. Both monitors take input from DVI, D-Sub and HDMI. They are mounted with 2W stereo speakers. While the FHD2102 sells for $200, the FHD2402 is priced higher, at $270.

ViewSonic Announces New Ergonomic Widescreen LCD Monitors

ViewSonic, a leading global provider of visual display products, today launched its new VG27 series of widescreen LCD monitors designed for business, government and education customers. The line includes the 24" VG2427wm, the VG2227wm and the 20" VG2027wm widescreen monitors.
ViewSonic's VG27 series of monitors have a 20,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and 300 nits of brightness and Full 1080p HD resolution for detailed, crisp, clear images. Dell Quietly Ships P2210, E190S, and E170S Budget LCD Monitors

Dell has quietly rolled out three new budget LCD monitors, that include the widescreen P2210, plus the standard 4:3 ration E190S and E170S models. The 22-inch P2210 display supports 1680x1050 16:10 native resolution, analog VGA, DVI-D with HDCP, or DisplayPort connections and a USB 2.0 hub with four ports. Model P2210 also meets EPEAT Gold and Energy Star standards.
The 19-inch E190S offers maximum resolution of 1280x1024 pixels, with 800:1 contrast ratio and 250 cd/m2 brightness. Only VGA connection is supported, although the monitor could be used for both business and home use. The device meets Energy Star and EPEAT Gold standards, while integrating halogen-free laminates and using a chassis composed of 25-percent post-consumer recycled plastics.
The E170S features the same eco-friendly design as the E190S, but in a more compact 17-inch screen size. The monitor supports 1280x1024 resolution and comes only with a VGA port.
Dell is now offering the monitors for $240, $130 and $110, respectively.

Samsung Introduces New Slim Touch of Color LCD Monitors

Samsung Electronics America, a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Corporation, the number one worldwide brand of LCD display products, today announced the release of its 70 Series Monitors: the P2070, P2370 and P2370HD. These slim LCD monitors, with screen depths of 30 mm (1.18 inches) for the P2070 and P2370 and 65.5mm (2.58 inches) for the P2370HD and Touch of Color (ToC) design, are the latest release of Samsung's high performance displays.
"The 70 Series offers our customers a sophisticated-looking LCD monitor with the performance capability of our televisions," said J.H. Kim, President of Samsung Electronics America's Information Technology Division. "The 70 Series is the new standard as more people upgrade their monitors for additional uses, like watching television programs and playing video games."

EIZO to Launch Power Saving LCD Monitors with Infrared Presence Sensor

Japanese premium class monitor maker EIZO, is taking new approach for power saving, by presenting LCD monitors that implement presence sensor. This infrared sensor will detect if a person sits in front of the monitor, and if not it will turn off the monitor until there's someone in front of it again. Placed on the lower side of the monitor, the presence sensor detects objects within a 120 cm range. The monitor shifts to the power saving mode when nobody is in the detection range for 40 seconds. EIZO will offer two monitor with the "EcoView Sense" technology, the FlexScan EV2023W-H and the FlexScan EV2303W-T. The former is a 20-inch model with a resolution of 1600x900, and the latter is a 23-inch model with 1920x1080 16:9 wide resolution. The typical power consumption of EV2023W-H is 25W, and that of the EV2303W-T model is 18W. In power saving mode, both models consume only 0.7W or lower. The EV2023W will use VA panel with better viewing angles, while the EV2303W will integrate normal TN LCD panel. EIZO will release the two monitors on May 21, 2009.

Five ASUS VH Series Monitors Get the Highest EPEAT Gold Rating

Five ASUS VH Series LCD monitors with screen sizes ranging from 20" to 24" have been EPEAT registered at the Gold level, the highest EPEAT rating possible. Designed and manufactured in strict adherence to GreenASUS principles, the ASUS VH202T-P, VH222H-P, VH232H-P, VH236H-P and VH242H-P successfully met or exceeded the required criteria and at least 75% of the optional criteria necessary to receive a Gold rating from EPEAT. These LCD monitors now join ASUS' Bamboo Series and N Series notebooks in the elite rung of electronic products bearing the EPEAT Gold eco-label.

LG Rolls Out New HD Monitors

LG announced a new fleet of full-HD capable LCD monitors today. The lineup consists of three models of different screen-sizes under the Wxx53V-PF naming scheme: the 22 inch W2253V-PF, 24 inch W2453V-PF and 27 inch W2753V-PF. LG seems to have emphasized on both form and function with these ones. Sporting a piano-black shell with a dash of clear acrylic, the monitors pack LCD panels with 2 ms response time. All models have native resolutions of 1920 x 1080 pixels (1080p HD), and are HDCP-capable.

Additionally, they feature intelligent Auto Bright, Live Sensor, and Cinema mode proprietary features. The monitor detects the intensity of light in the environment it's working in, and accordingly adjusts brightness and contrast levels. All models support offer DVI-D, D-SUB, and HDMI port as input connectivity options. LG is yet to release or price these monitors outside the Japanese market as of now.

Dell Launches The 24-inch 16:9 G2410 LCD Monitor

Normal for Dell, the company has launched a new 24-inch LCD monitor, without informing the public. The new monitor just appeared on the company's website and that's all. "Designed with the environment in mind", the Dell G2410 monitor is one of the firm's greenest LCDs. It comes with Dell EPEAT Gold rating, that reduce environmental impact by using halogen-free laminates in circuit boards and chassis plastics that contains 25% post-consumers recycled plastics. Max supported resolution is 1920x1080 pixels, response time is 5 ms, contrast ratio is 1000:1, brightness level is 250 cd/m² and the horizontal/vertical viewing angles are 160° and 170° respectively. Connectivity options of G2410 include single VGA and DVI-D connectors. Dell is now offering the monitor for $349 on its online store.

I-O Data Introduces New Full-HD Monitors

Storage and peripherals specialist I-O Data announced expansion of its display products lineup with two new full-HD LCD monitors. Dressed in black and white are the two variants of the LCD-MF242X family. The monitors house a 23.6 inch LCD panel with a native-resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, with a response time of 5 ms.

As for its illumination, the panel has a contrast ratio of 1000:1, with dynamic contrast ratio of 10000:1. Its maximum brightness is rated at 300 cd/m². In its limited size, it still includes two 1.5W speakers. Input connectors include DVI, HDMI 1.2a, and D-Sub (analog). I-O Data is expected to ask around US $355 for these monitors.

BenQ Launches Full Line-up of G-Series 16:9 LCD Monitors

Albatron Ushers-Forth Optical Touch Monitor Technology

Albatron Technology has announced its new Optical Touch Monitor (OTM), on course with a new era of Multi Touch Panel monitors. At NVISION '08, multi-touch panels were lauded by Jen-Hsun Huang in his keynote speech as being one of the most exciting emerging technologies. Multi-Touch was demonstrated last year by Bill Gates using beta versions of Windows 7. Acer Announces New B Series Ergonomic Monitors

Acer, the third largest vendor in the PC market today announced two new models in its Business Series (B Series) monitor line for professionals. The new Acer B Series monitors - B233HU bmidhz and B273HU bmidhz - feature a stylish ergonomic design and state-of-the-art features, making them perfect for the office.
"With these new monitors, Acer is continuing to provide our business customers with products that offer advanced technology, assure dependability and offer a positive return-on-investment," said Chris White, Director of Product Marketing - Peripherals, Acer Group. EIZO Debuts New 22-inch Widescreen LCD Monitors for Professionals

EIZO last night launched the FlexScan S2242W-H and FlexScan S2232W-E, both 22-inch displays with EIZO's state of the art quality. The FlexScan S2232W-E has 1680x1050 wide resolution while the S2242W-H boasts 1920x1200 WUXGA resolution, typical for 24-inch displays. Both panels cover 95 percent of the Adobe RGB color space and 92 percent of the NTSC space, making them suitable for professional work such as audio and video editing or CAD. EIZO will start shipping both monitors simultaneously on February 5th. The lower-resolution S2232W-E should sell for ¥62,800 yen or the equivalent of $705, while the S2242W-H will cost ¥69,800 yen ($784).

Dell Previews New G-Series of 22-inch and 24-inch LED Monitors

Dell today announced its G-Series of LED widescreen flat panel monitors with the introduction of the G2210 22-inch and G2410 24-inch models. G-Series high-performance EPEAT Gold and ENERGY STAR-compliant monitors are distinguished by a design approach that combines energy efficiency, LED technology, recycled materials and other environmentally preferable components. Availability of the G2210 and G2410 monitors through Dell.com is planned for late February, with prices starting at $279 and $359 respectively.

Samsung Releases Five New SyncMaster 16:9 Monitors

Samsung today released five new SyncMaster LCD monitors that use the glossy-black design theme the company has been fascinated with, for some time now. Their screen-sizes range between 15.6 inch and 23 inch. The SyncMaster 633NW is a 15.6 inch display, while the 933SN is an 18.5 inch one, both with a native resolution of 1360 x 768 pixels.

The 2233SW and 2333SW come with a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, and are sized at 21.5 and 23 inch respectively. The 2133SW is a 20 inch panel with resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels. All the above monitors sport a response time of 5 ms, and inputs that include DVI-D, and D-Sub. The monitors are HDCP capable. Prices in Japan, range between US $187 and $312.
