BIOSTAR Intros TZ590-BTC DUO Mining Motherboard

BIOSTAR today introduced the TZ590-BTC DUO, a feature-packed motherboard for crypto-currency mining setups, based on the Intel Z590 chipset, and supporting 10th- and 11th Gen Core processors in the LGA1200 package. The board puts out a total of eight PCI-Express 3.0 x1 slots, all from the Z590 PCH, besides a PCI-Express 4.0 x16 slot wired to the CPU, and four M.2-2280 slots. One of these is PCI-Express 4.0 x4 and wired to the CPU, while the others are Gen 3, and from the PCH. With M.2 to PCIe adapters already in the wild, you can install up to 12 graphics cards on this board. Connectivity options on this board include some legacy ports, including D-Sub for video from the iGPU, besides HDMI; and a PS/2 keyboard port. There is also an unusually high number of SATA ports, at 10 of them, besides the four M.2 NVMe. So you can also farm Chia at scale while you mine. BIOSTAR didn't reveal pricing.

ASRock & NZXT Intel Z690, H670, B660, and H610 Motherboards Listed

The lineup of 600-Series motherboards planned by ASRock and NZXT for the upcoming 12th Generation Intel Core Series of processors has recently been published by VideoCardz. While NZXT has only two high-end Z590 motherboards listed with them being the N5-Z69XT, and the N7-Z69XT, ASRock has 36 listed across all the Z690, H670, B660, and H610 chipsets. The Z690 chipset will serve as the flagship platform for high-performance and overclocking while the H670 and B660 will take the mid-range and the H610 for entry-level boards. The list does not contain any Taichi, Aqua, or OC Formula series boards from ASRock as those may not be ready for day-one release or are still under active development.

ASRock will offer several of their motherboards in two variants with one offering integrated WiFi 6E networking, they also have an ITX option for each chipset. Intel is expected to announce their 12th Generation Core Series processors and Z690 chipset in late 2021 with the remaining chipsets to be announced at CES 2022. EVGA X570 DARK Motherboard Pictured, Fully Loaded

Here's the first picture of a production EVGA X570 DARK motherboard, the company's flagship Socket AM4 motherboard targeting overclocking features on the latest "Zen 3" processors. The board prioritizes CPU and memory overclocking headroom above all else. The orientation of the Socket AM4 is rotated 240°, such that the memory slots are located on top of the socket. There's only 1 DIMM per memory channel, which is the most optimal topology for memory overclocking. The angled power inputs, along with onboard buttons, switches, POST code display, and voltage measurement points, are conveniently located in the top-right corner of the PCB, with the power inputs being angled to reduce cable clutter.

The CPU socket is wired to two PCI-Express 4.0 x16 slots (x8/x8 with both populated), and an M.2 NVMe slot with PCI-Express 4.0 x4 wiring. The X570 chipset (not specified whether it's an X570S), is cooled passively, by a large heatsink that extends into heatsink over the board's two M.2 slots. Connectivity likely includes two wired networking interfaces, a Wi-Fi 6E wireless interface, and EVGA's highest-grade onboard audio solution. The board's BIOS is optimized for record-breaking CPU and memory overclocking, using sub-zero cooling solutions. The company didn't reveal availability or pricing.

GIGABYTE Intros X570S Gaming X Motherboard

GIGABYTE rolled out the X570S Gaming X motherboard, expanding its line of AMD X570S motherboards that debuted in June with a trio of AORUS Gaming and AERO series products. The Gaming X sticks to GIGABYTE's main brand, and is usually priced below its AORUS Gaming models. Built in the ATX form-factor, the board draws power from a combination of 24-pin ATX and single 8-pin EPS connectors. It uses a 6-layer PCB for better memory and PCIe signalling. A 14-phase (12+2 phase) VRM powers the CPU, with an enlarged MOSFET heatsink. The AMD X570S chipset is cooled by a fanless heatsink.

The AM4 socket is wired to a PCI-Express 4.0 x16 slot, and M.2 NVMe slot with PCI-Express 4.0 x4 wiring. There are two additional M.2 NVMe slots wired to the X570S chipset, both capable of PCI-Express 4.0 x4. Other expansion slots include a PCI-Express x16 (Gen 4 x2 electrical), and two Gen 4 x1 slots. USB connectivity includes two 10 Gbps USB 3.2 ports on the rear panel, one of which is type-C; and seven 5 Gbps USB 3.2 ports, from which four are on the rear panel, one is an internal type-C port, and two ports via headers. The sole network interface is a 2.5 GbE, driven by a Realtek 8125B controller. The 8-channel onboard audio is basic Realtek ALC892 fare. The board comes with out-of-the-box support for Ryzen 5000 "Vermeer," and Ryzen 5000G "Cezanne" processors, besides Ryzen 3000 series. The company didn't reveal pricing, but we expect this to go for well under $180.

And of course, that only means one thing. EVGA will officially be joining the ecosystem of AMD and offering motherboards for their Ryzen processors. While the company is "one of the top NVIDIA authorized partners" in GPUs, on the CPU front it is officially joining Team Red and marking an important milestone for everyone. It is still not clear what kind of motherboard we will be getting, however, we can expect to see EVGA's best engineering applied in the form of a possible X570 Dark motherboard.

ASRock Launches H510 Pro BTC+ Motherboard with 6 Full-Size PCIe 3.0 x16 Slots

ASRock has been accommodating the mining craze and the company is today launching its H510 Pro BTC+ motherboard designed to host a suite of GPUs. More precisely, the company has released a motherboard with six full-size PCIe 3.0 x16 slots. Measuring at the huge 50.1 x 22.4 cm, the motherboard is anything but small. Tachyum Receives Prodigy FPGA DDR-IO Motherboard to Create Full System Emulation

Tachyum Inc. today announced that it has taken delivery of an IO motherboard for its Prodigy Universal Processor hardware emulator from manufacturing. This provides the company with a complete system prototype integrating CPU, memory, PCI Express, networking and BMC management subsystems when connected to the previously announced field-programmable gate array (FPGA) emulation system board.

The Tachyum Prodigy FPGA DDR-IO Board connects to the Prodigy FPGA CPU Board to provide memory and IO connectivity for the FPGA-based CPU tiles. The fully functional Prodigy emulation system is now ready for further build out, including Linux boot and incorporation of additional test chips. It is available to customers to perform early testing and software development prior to a full four-socket reference design motherboard, which is expected to be available Q4 2021.

ASUS Teases Four Upcoming X570 Motherboards with Fanless Chipset Cooling

ASUS teased what is possibly its final round of Socket AM4 motherboards based on the AMD X570 chipset. The boards are based on the X570 chipset with the latest AGESA update that runs the chipset cooler, so thay can made do with fanless heatsink cooling. The teaser pic reveals at least four models—one based in the coveted ProArt line of creator motherboards; one from the TUF Gaming line of value-ended gaming motherboards; one form the ROG Strix series of premium gaming motherboards; and the last from the ROG Crosshair series of enthusiast/overclocking motherboards.

The motherboard in the bottom-right quadrant isn't the Crosshair VIII Dark Hero, but very likely a next-gen Crosshair Formula product. The bottom-left board could be a successor to the ROG Strix X570-E Gaming. The top-right board could be a TUF Gaming X570 Pro successor; while the top-left could be an all new product based in the ProArt series.

Update May 31st: ASUS clarified in a Facebook post that these motherboards use the same X570 chipset, but take advantage of the latest AGESA firmware that lowers TDP of the chipset just enough for motherboard designers to use fanless heatsinks.

ASRock Launches AMD X300TM-ITX Thin Mini-ITX Motherboard

ASRock, proudly announces the new Thin Mini-ITX form factor motherboard for AMD's Ryzen platform, X300TM-ITX. ASRock brand new X300TM-ITX supports AMD latest Ryzen 4000 Series APU and up to 64 GB of DDR4-3200 MHz SO-DIMM memory, bringing uncompromised performance. ASRock X300TM-ITX provides a COM port, two HDMI ports which can drive displays up to 4K 60Hz, a second HDMI located on the side of PCB is an internal port. One LVDS connector for LCD controllers is also present. The storage capability is comprised of a single SATA connector and a single M.2 2280 slot. On the rear there are three USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports, with two internal USB 2.0 headers for expansion. For connectivity, X300TM-ITX equips a M.2 Key-E slot for Wi-Fi module and a single Gigabit Ethernet port.
