Riotoro Demos Morpheus Convertible Case, Among Others at CES 2019

While at CES 2019 we had the opportunity to check out Riotoro's new flagship case the Morpheus which uses a new convertible design making it an actual departure from traditional cases. Out of the gate, it sets itself apart with support for 2x USB 3.0 Type-C and 2x USB 3.0. The inclusion of USB Type-C was a nice change of pace considering the adoption of the new connector has still been a bit slow. That said they maintained the status quo in other ways by including headphone and microphone jacks along with RGB controls for good measure. Obviously, the final features and hardware support will depend entirely on the end users configuration of the chassis as it can be resized depending on user choice. The case itself is a dual chamber design that uses perforated mesh on all sides for superior cooling, with support for up to 240 mm liquid coolers. Motherboard support includes everything mini-ITX all the way up to EATX with the entire chassis offering tool-less assembly. It also provides support for up to 2x 3.5-inch drives and up to 4x 2.5-inch drives. Out of the box it comes with 2x 120 mm red LED intake fans, and a single 80 mm exhaust fan. The case is available now with a price tag of $189.99 directly from Riotoro.

Riotoro Announces the Morpheus GTX100 Convertible Case. Cube or Tower? Your Choice

Riotoro Morpheus GTX100 is a fascinating new case design. You can either configure it to be a space-saving ATX cubical (mini-tower) case, or enlarge it by sliding and locking the top half along rails, to convert it to an ATX mid-tower. The case features a vertically partitioned dual-chamber layout, with the motherboard tray located in the larger left-side half, and oriented upside down, BTX style.

When contracted to mini-tower proportions, the left chamber with the motherboard tray has room for standard ATX (and smaller) motherboards, up to three graphics cards that can be as long as 40 cm, CPU coolers up to 18 cm in height; while the right chamber holds two each 3.5-inch and 2.5-inch drive bays, besides the PSU bay, with up to 22 cm clearance. When expanded to mid-tower proportions, you get more of everything - the left chamber now holds E-ATX motherboards and up to four 40 cm long graphics cards; while the right chamber holds four 2.5-inch bays instead of two.

RIOTORO Showcases Builder Edition PSU, Quiet Storm RGB Fans at COMPUTEX 2018

RIOTORO at COMPUTEX 2018 showcased its latest system power supply, the 1200 W Builder Edition PSU. This PSU carries the 80 Plus Gold certification, and is a modular affair made for high-wattage-requirement gaming or mining PCs. There are 8x GPU power connectors, and 12x SATA power connectors, and a single 12V rail design for power delivery. The Riotoro Builder Edition 1200W is available now with an MSRP of $219.99.

Riotoro Intros the CR488 Case

Riotoro introduced the CR488, an ATX mid-tower case with room for long graphics cards, tall CPU coolers, and a generous number of drives. The case features Riotoro's signature styling with its red accents. Inside you'll find what's supposed to be a horizontally partitioned layout, but the partition itself isn't pronounced, rather suggestive (there is still a protrusion). The top "compartment" holds a motherboard with 7 expansion bays, and room for graphics cards as long as 41.5 cm, with CPU coolers as tall as 16.5 cm.

The bottom compartment holds the PSU bay (up to 22 cm of room), and two 3.5-inch drive caddies accessible from either side. Two 2.5-inch drives can be mounted behind the motherboard tray. Ventilation includes two 120 mm or one 140 mm front intakes, two 120 mm top exhausts, and a 120 mm rear exhaust. 240 mm x 120 mm radiators can be mounted along the front and top panels. Measuring 467 mm x 205 mm x 423 mm (DxWxH), the case dry-weighs about 5.6 kg. Front panel connectivity includes two USB 3.0 ports, and HDA jacks. Available now, the Riotoro CR488 is priced at £44.

Riotoro Intros CR500 Mid-tower Chassis

Riotoro today introduced the CR500 ATX mid-tower chassis. The case is characterized by a slightly protruding and perforated front-panel for better air intake, with a full-coverage tempered glass making up the side panel. The case features a contemporary horizontal partition layout. The top compartment houses an ATX/micro-ATX/mini-ITX motherboard with room for graphics cards as long as 40 cm, and CPU coolers as tall as 18 cm.

The bottom compartment of the CR500, accessible from the right side panel, houses two 3.5-inch/2.5-inch drive bays, two additional 3.5-inch/2.5-inch drive mounts, and the PSU compartment. The cooling system includes three 120 mm or two 140 mm top exhausts, two 140 mm/120 mm front intakes, a 120 mm bottom intake, and a 120 mm rear exhaust. Front panel connectivity includes two each of USB 3.0 and USB 2.0/1.1 ports, and HDA jacks. The company didn't reveal pricing.

Riotoro Intros the Prism CR 1088 Case

Riotoro today introduced the Prism CR 1088, a vertical dual-compartment ATX case. The case features a vertical partition for its two compartments that are split in a 35:65 ratio in volume. Unlike with other cases such as the Corsair Carbide Air 540, the compartment with the motherboard-tray is located on the right-hand side on the Prism CR 1088, in an upside-down (BTX) fashion; and the compartment with the PSU bay and a few drive bays are located on the left-hand side.

The motherboard-tray compartment features 7 expansion slots, and room for graphics cards up to 30 cm in length. It also features a bulged-out clear acrylic window, and an 80 mm rear exhaust fan. The compartment with the PSU bay houses a standard PS/2 ATX PSU, and two 3.5-inch drive bays that each convert to 2.5-inch. There are two additional 2.5-inch mounts on the motherboard compartment. Cooling includes a 120 mm front intake, an 80 mm rear exhaust, and two 120 mm bottom intakes. The case is studded with RGB LEDs along a front diffuser highlighting the partition, which supports 16.8 million colors, and takes input from a standard RGB header. The company didn't reveal pricing.

Riotoro Intros the Ghostwriter Classic Gaming Keyboard

Riotoro today introduced the Ghostwriter Classic gaming keyboard. Built with a conventional layout, with a 104-keyset, the keyboard features low-noise membrane switches, and although it appears like the keyboard features a standard 16.7 million color RGB LED loadout, it only supports 8 colors, and 4 brightness levels; which can be selected on the keyboard. Besides media hotkeys and macros, the keyboard features a rotary volume control wheel, and a detachable palm-rest. Its electronics enable full n-key rollover, and 100% anti-ghosting. The company didn't reveal pricing.

Riotoro Also Unveils the Enigma Series PSUs

Riotoro also unveiled the Enigma line of power supplies for targeting various performance-segment price points. The company showed off an 850W variant. These PSUs offer 80 Plus Gold efficiency, single +12V rail design, DC-to-DC switching, common electrical protections, partially modular cabling, and enough juice and straws for a gaming PC build with up to three graphics cards. A 140 mm fan keeps the unit cool.

Riotoro Makes its Entry to Liquid Cooling

Riotoro made its entry into liquid cooling with a pair of unnamed AIO liquid CPU coolers. What sets Riotoro apart from the others is its choice of high static pressure fans that are optimized for radiators. These fans take input via PWM from the pump-block. The block features a LED lit decorative piece, with the Riotoro logo. There are a lot of design elements that point to Asetek being the OEM.
