NVIDIA DLSS Coming to More Games, Including Diablo IV

Each week, we're bringing you news of the latest DLSS and ray tracing integrations in games and apps. Last week, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum launched with DLSS 3 and ray tracing, and more DLSS 2 games were released. This week, at COMPUTEX 2023, we've announced that Ash Echoes, Honor of Kings: World, and Legend of Ymir will all launch with DLSS 3, and Party Animals with DLSS 2. And we're celebrating the release of Diablo IV with DLSS 3, and System Shock with DLSS 2.

NVIDIA Demonstrates GeForce RTX Performance Enhancements in Diablo IV

NVIDIA Reflex Comes to Diablo IV and More Games

NVIDIA Reflex is a must-have in games, reducing system latency so your actions occur quicker, giving you a competitive edge in multiplayer matches, and making single-player titles more responsive and enjoyable. NVIDIA Reflex is now used by over 50 million players each month, is available in 9 of the top 10 competitive shooters, including the Counter-Strike 2 beta, and is activated by 90% of GeForce gamers in 70+ supported titles. Recent recipients of Reflex include Redfall, Returnal, and The Lord of the Rings: Gollum. Next month, Reflex will be available at launch in Diablo IV, and is coming to Metal: Hellsinger by way of a game update.

NVIDIA Reflex also encompasses optimized mice and monitors, which contribute to your overall system latency. By working with manufacturers we have built reporting capabilities into products, enabling GeForce gamers to measure their end-to-end system latency, seeing where their system may be holding them back. Additionally, four new GIGABYTE AORUS mice have added support for Reflex, along with a new LG UltraGear gaming monitor.

Counter-Strike 2 Features NVIDIA Reflex
Valve has announced Counter-Strike 2, a graphical and technological update that upgrades Counter-Strike: Global Offensive to the Source 2 engine. The latest edition leverages newer graphics APIs for improved fidelity and responsiveness. NVIDIA is collaborating with Valve to ensure latency is at an absolute minimum with the addition of NVIDIA Reflex.
Sackboy: A Big Adventure Available Now With NVIDIA DLSS 3 & NVIDIA Reflex
When Sackboy: A Big Adventure launched last October, it included support for DLSS 2, and featured ray-traced reflections, ray-traced shadows and ray-traced ambient occlusion effects. This adventure is a true test of mettle for any system when enjoyed in 4K with all options maxed out.

NVIDIA RTX Remix Runtime Open Source Available Now

RTX Remix is a revolutionary modding platform to remaster classic DirectX 8 and 9 games with path tracing, NVIDIA DLSS, AI-enhanced textures, and user-created assets. RTX Remix, part of the NVIDIA Studio suite of apps, is composed of two core components that work together to enable modders to remaster classic PC games: the RTX Remix creator toolkit, and a custom RTX Remix runtime.

The RTX Remix creator toolkit, built on NVIDIA Omniverse and used to develop Portal with RTX, allows modders to assign new assets and lights within their remastered scene, and use AI tools to rebuild the look of any asset. The RTX Remix creator toolkit Early Access is coming soon. The RTX Remix runtime captures a game scene, and replaces assets at playback while injecting RTX technology, such as path tracing, DLSS 3 and Reflex into the game. Already, mod developers have been using the RTX Remix runtime from Portal With RTX to create experimental ray traced scenes in numerous classic games. To further empower the mod development community to extend Remix's game compatibility and feature set, NVIDIA is releasing the RTX Remix runtime as open source on GitHub today.

NVIDIA Reflex Coming to Counter Strike 2

What appears to be an official NVIDIA slide showing off NVIDIA Reflex in Counter Strike 2, has actually officially confirmed the GeForce RTX 4070 by accident. While we are still a week away from the rumored official launch, set for April 13th, the new RTX 4070 graphics card is used for testing NVIDIA Reflex in Counter Strike 2.

Spotted by The Verge, the NVIDIA official slide shows the benefits of NVIDIA Reflex in Counter Strike 2, with an improved latency on RTX 4070, RTX 3060, and the GTX 1060. It reduces latency down from 10 ms to 8 ms on the GeForce RTX 4070. As noted by The Verge, this means that 9 out of the top 10 most popular competitive shooters will have Nvidia Reflex support, including Apex Legends, Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, Destiny 2, Escape from Tarkov, Fortnite, Overwatch 2, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, Valorant, and Counter Strike 2. Previous rumors for the GeForce RTX 4070 confirmed the AD104 GPU with 5888 CUDA cores, 12 GB of GDDR6X memory, 200 W TDP, and a $599 price tag.

ASUS ROG Swift Pro PG248QP 540 Hz and ROG Swift PG27AQDM OLED 240 Hz Monitors

It may be small, but it's fast! The new ROG Swift Pro PG248QP is a 24.1-inch planar gaming monitor with a measly Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution, but an at an incredible 540 Hz refresh rate, making it the world's fastest E-Sports display. This display is so quick, and ASUS set up a 144 Hz display next to it for comparison, and one could tell the difference. The monitor also features NVIDIA G-SYNC, and NVIDIA Reflex Analyzer, along with a USB 3.2 hub, so you can plug your Reflex-compatible gaming mouse to the monitor, and the monitor itself to an upstream USB 3.2 source, besides the DisplayPort connection. Another interesting aspect about this monitor is that ASUS has integrated a high-end USB audio DAC sourced from ESS, so you can plug your analog headset to the display and get audio quality on par with a high-end onboard audio solution, or even a mid-range discrete sound card.

Elsewhere across the ASUS ROG booth, we caught the ASUS ROG Swift PG27AQDM-OLED, the company's fastest gaming monitors to use an OLED panel. This 27-inch monitor offers WQHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution, with 0.03 ms response time, and 240 Hz refresh rate, besides 1,000 nits peak brightness, and 99% DCI-P3 coverage. The panel features an anti-glare micro-coating. OLED displays tend to produce more heat than backlit LCD displays, and so this monitor packs a series of thermal innovations to prolong the lifespan of the OLED panel. MSI Rolls Out Clutch GM41 Lightweight V2 Gaming Mouse

MSI today rolled out the Clutch GM41 Lightweight V2 gaming mouse. A wired cousin of the original GM41 series from 2020/21, the "V2" in the model name of the new mouse denotes a change to the mouse's cable, with the use of low-friction sleeving. It uses the same 16,000 dpi sensor and switches as the original. The mouse features NVIDIA Reflex support. The 50G acceleration, and 400 IPS tracking speed, however, remain unchanged. What's also not changed is the mouse's design, its pseudo-ambidextrous 6-button layout that uses Omron-made switches rated for 60 million clicks, and the FriXionFree Cable that's designed to reduce friction from the desk. The company didn't mention pricing.

HyperX Pulsefire Haste Gaming Mouse Now Compatible with NVIDIA Reflex

NVIDIA Announces Financial Results for Second Quarter Fiscal 2022

NVIDIA (NASDAQ: NVDA) today reported record revenue for the second quarter ended August 1, 2021, of $6.51 billion, up 68 percent from a year earlier and up 15 percent from the previous quarter, with record revenue from the company's Gaming, Data Center and Professional Visualization platforms. GAAP earnings per diluted share for the quarter were $0.94, up 276 percent from a year ago and up 24 percent from the previous quarter. Non-GAAP earnings per diluted share were $1.04, up 89 percent from a year ago and up 14 percent from the previous quarter.

"NVIDIA's pioneering work in accelerated computing continues to advance graphics, scientific computing and AI," said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA. "Enabled by the NVIDIA platform, developers are creating the most impactful technologies of our time - from natural language understanding and recommender systems, to autonomous vehicles and logistic centers, to digital biology and climate science, to metaverse worlds that obey the laws of physics.

NVIDIA Releases Game-Ready GeForce 471.68 WHQL Graphics Drivers

NVIDIA has today decided to update the company's game-ready graphics drivers with the release of 471.68 WHQL. In the latest installment of the GeForce drivers, NVIDIA is bringing some much-needed support for the latest games. That includes the launch of Psychonauts 2, Naraka: Bladepoint, and Back 4 Blood Open Beta. These new games are now supported and are expected to be played on all GPUs from 3000 series to the older 500 series. As Naraka: Bladepoint game features NVIDIA's latest DLSS and Reflex technologies, this driver version is here to support it.
