NVIDIA Reflex Coming to Counter Strike 2

What appears to be an official NVIDIA slide showing off NVIDIA Reflex in Counter Strike 2, has actually officially confirmed the GeForce RTX 4070 by accident. While we are still a week away from the rumored official launch, set for April 13th, the new RTX 4070 graphics card is used for testing NVIDIA Reflex in Counter Strike 2.

Spotted by The Verge, the NVIDIA official slide shows the benefits of NVIDIA Reflex in Counter Strike 2, with an improved latency on RTX 4070, RTX 3060, and the GTX 1060. It reduces latency down from 10 ms to 8 ms on the GeForce RTX 4070. As noted by The Verge, this means that 9 out of the top 10 most popular competitive shooters will have Nvidia Reflex support, including Apex Legends, Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, Destiny 2, Escape from Tarkov, Fortnite, Overwatch 2, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, Valorant, and Counter Strike 2. Previous rumors for the GeForce RTX 4070 confirmed the AD104 GPU with 5888 CUDA cores, 12 GB of GDDR6X memory, 200 W TDP, and a $599 price tag.

Why 3070 is not in the chart? Because it will wipe the floor with 4070
Huang just admits that 4070 is 4060

Says max settings. Assuming that's 8xMSAA, it's pretty much irrelevant to most CS players. Not all but most. Give those 1060 owners a real representation.

Higher frames per second means lower latency, who would have thought.

I hope your comment it's a joke.

And turning on reflex can further reduce latency. Amazing isn't it?

Cant a see a reason to NOT use 8xMSAA. You can easily push 200+ fps even with 8xMSAA

Its better to turn OFF AA since it makes the 3D models more blocky which provides more visibility. Easier to see opponents.

I disable AA in Apex Legends for that reason and it makes it easier to see the flat surfaces of the geometry to wall bounce off of.

Яid!culousOwOThat is very strange...
10 ms is 100 fps, and 8 ms is 125 fps
So... CS2 1440p max settings... that's its frames per second?
I know latency doesn't equal to frames per second, but if latency is higher than the time it takes to generate a new frame, it'll be terrible gaming experience.
So latency must be less than frame generation time. But doesn't it suggest that we're getting less than 125 fps???
Latency is always bigger than the time it takes to render a frame no matter what, so if you have an average latency of 10ms the game is probably running at a framerate a lot higher than 100. Inputs and game logic do not update with every frame, sometimes the game engine prerenders frames ahead of time because there is no change in input from the user, so what these "latency reducing" things do is they simply eliminate those frames from the rendering pipeline as often and as soon as possible.

Finally, the game will no longer be holding back my elite skillset, allowing 12yos to headshot me unfairly.

4070 is about 3080 performance it would seem. So not a huge upgrade, but price is a bit better than expected and IMO it's better value than the Ti. Still wouldn't buy any Lovelace card unless 4080 gets a $300 shave.
