There was an old 3dfx commercial that satirized exactly this kind of grandstanding that we're seeing in the beginning on the keynote. I miss them.

A bit too gaudy for my taste, a bit too noevau riche, too “Vegas pimp”. Worn saddle leather would be classier.

The 5090 is pretty small compared to ADA.

edit here comes the fake benchmarks with 4x frame generation....

Prices aren't bad as long as they are actually faster than what they replace.

They aren't great, but way better than what we were expecting lol

$500 cheaper than what I expected for the 5090, and the 5070 is going to pose a significant challenge for AMD to overcome at that price. RX 9070 XT will likely need to be priced at $400 or less.

Better than last generation... we all thought it would be higher due to the absence of AMD.

We need to see real benchmarks though the performance he's talking about is with the gpu basically doing 1 real frame at 1080p and frame generating 3 more frames....

Still got to see real performance what he's talking about is some ridiculous frame generation.

if the 5080 is as fast as a 4090 when not using DLSS, those will fly off shelves.

100%.... Although raster performance on the 4090 vs 5090 according to the slide is 50% and so probably 70-80% better RT.... So still hard to say the 5080 has half the hardware.

The actual pricing may vary....

I like how its rated in AI instead of FPS, lets me know where the Nvidia game is at, get ready for the Nvidia AI chair with AI simulated neural jerking off from avatars of sweaty dudes in leather jackets.

Those with questions regarding the neural textures showcased, it is an implementation of a technique NV has been cooking for some time, here is a pdf for a 2023 academic document with the full technical aspects (don't worry if you don't understand any of this, it isn't meant for laymen)
