Samsung Optimizes Exynos 9810 for AI Applications and Richer Multimedia Content

Samsung Electronics, a world leader in advanced semiconductor technology, today announced the launch of its latest premium application processor (AP), the Exynos 9 Series 9810. The Exynos 9810, built on Samsung's second-generation 10-nanometer (nm) FinFET process, brings the next level of performance to smartphones and smart devices with its powerful third-generation custom CPU, faster gigabit LTE modem and sophisticated image processing with deep learning-based software. In recognition of its innovation and technological advancements, Samsung's Exynos 9 Series 9810 has been selected as a CES 2018 Innovation Awards HONOREE in the Embedded Technologies product category and will be displayed at the event, which runs January 9-12, 2018, in Las Vegas, USA.

Samsung Introduces the Premium Series 9 SB971 WQHD Monitor

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. today introduced the latest iteration of its professional grade Series 9 monitor, the SB971. Featuring quad high-definition resolution and wide viewing angles, the premium, hand-calibrated Series 9 SB971 was designed for users that require a richer viewing experience, such as photo enthusiasts and graphic artists.

"Graphic professionals, photo enthusiasts and other groups that meticulously edit visual content require a monitor with extremely accurate color rendering, immersive viewing angles and premium picture quality, and the SB971 meets these demands," said Mike Abary, senior vice president of consumer IT product marketing at Samsung Electronics America. Samsung Series 9 Premium Ultrabook with Full HD Resolution Now Available

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. today announced availability of the Series 9 Premium Ultrabook with Full HD (1920x1080) resolution. The laptop is available now for an MSRP of $1,399.99.

Brilliant Screen Quality
In addition to Full HD resolution, the Series 9 features a Samsung SuperBright display (300 nit), making it up to twice as bright as standard notebook screens. The Series 9 reproduces up to 16 million colors, making it ideal for viewing photos and videos. The wide viewing angle and matte display allow users to appreciate the rich picture quality in all lighting conditions, both inside and out.

Samsung Launches ATIV Smart PC Pro Ultrabook

Samsung's Windows 8 PC Lineup Now Available for Pre-Order; In Stores October 26

Samsung Electronics America Inc., a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd, today announced details about its upcoming Windows 8 mobile PC and All-In-One product lines. Building on its leadership position in the PC and tablet market, Samsung is bringing premium computing power, elegant design and an intuitive user experience to its PCs along with seamless convergence across devices, thanks to Samsung AllShare Play. In addition, Samsung offers a range of unique applications across devices including Samsung Quick Starter, and exclusive S Pen apps such as S Note and S Memo.

Samsung Readies a Fleet of Windows 8 Ultrabooks and All-in-One PCs

Samsung is working on a fleet of devices that take advantage of Microsoft's new Windows 8 operating system. These include touch-capable Ultrabooks, tablet hybrids, and all-in-one desktops. Samsung's Windows 8 Ultrabook lineup begins with Series 5 Ultra Touch. Starting at $809.99, these 13-inch Ultrabooks are powered by Core i3 "Ivy Bridge" dual-core processors (upgradable to Core i5 for $50 extra), 4 GB of RAM, 1366 x 768 pixels touchscreen display, and 500 GB HDD accelerated with 24 GB cache-SSD. It tips the scales at 1.73 kg. Samsung's second Ultrabook in the new lineup is the premium Series 9 Ultra Touch, starting at $1,300 for 13-inch and $1,400 for 15-inch.

Moving on, Samsung has two lines of Windows 8-loaded notebooks, starting with Series 3, which is available in a variety of hardware and screen size options, priced in the range of $450 to $900; and Series 7 15-inch notebook, which starts at $1,100. Samsung's new all-in-one lineup begins with Ativ SmartPC 500T and 700T, powered by Intel Atom Z2760 and Core i5, respectively, with memory ranging between 2 GB to 4 GB, featuring 64 GB to 128 GB SSD storage. The 500T starts at $649.99, while the 700T starts at 1,199.99. Samsung's mid-range all-in-one offering is the Series 5, which starts at $800, featuring a 21.5-inch HD screen. Its premium all-in-one PC offering is the Series 7, which starts at $1,100 for 23.6-inch and $1,700 for 27-inch variants. These devices will be launched closer to that of Windows 8, slated for October 26.

Samsung's Award-Winning Series 9 Monitor Now Available

Samsung Electronics America Inc., a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd, today announced that it is now shipping its award-winning Series 9 LED desktop monitor. The culmination of over five years of global market leadership in monitors, the new 27-inch Series 9 incorporates the best that Samsung has to offer, including its exclusive Natural Color Expert technology, which provides a richer viewing experience for graphic artists, photographers, designers and anyone else with a sense of style working with photos and video content.

Starting at $1,199.99, the Series 9 will be available through an exclusive prelaunch with NewEgg from June 1 - June 28 and then through Tiger Direct, MicroCenter, CDW, Buy.com and others from June 29 onwards.

Samsung Announces 15-inch Series 9 Ultrabook in the UK

Samsung UK has jumped the gun with Ivy Bridge-powered Ultrabooks, and posted the product page of its 15-inch Series 9 Ultrabook. Intel's Core "Ivy Bridge" processors for Ultrabooks won't be official till June. Pictured below is the Series 9 NP900X4C, with a 15-inch screen, that has 1600x900 pixels resolution, and a sleek wedge-shaped design. Under the hood is an Intel Core i5-3317U dual-core processor clocked at 1.70 GHz, with 2.60 GHz Turbo Boost speed, and Intel HD 4000 graphics; Intel HM75 Express chipset, 8 GB of dual-channel DDR3-1600 MHz memory, and a 128 GB SSD.

Connectivity/features include 802.11 b/g/n with WiDi support, Bluetooth 4.0, one USB 2.0 and two USB 3.0 ports, micro-HDMI display output, SD/MMC card-reader, and 1.3 megapixel webcam. The keyboad has backlit illumination, and the tracking device is a large multi-touch clickpad. The Series 9 body is made of an all-aluminum chassis, which could make it light, improve heat dissipation, but also step up its costs. Expect the Series 9 NP900X4C to start selling in June.

Samsung Debuts the Second-Gen Series 9 Ultra-slim Notebooks

Today Samsung Electronics has held a media event in its home country (South Korea) to launch the updated (second generation) Series 9 ultra-thin laptops. Coming in 13.3-inch and 15-inch flavors, these notebooks feature a single-piece aluminum body (just 12.9 mm thick), a SuperBright (400 nits, 1600 x 900) LED-backlit display, a backlit keyboard, and are powered by an Intel Sandy Bridge processor.

Samsung Debuts the Series 9 3D All-in-One PC

Samsung Electronics has today officially launched (in South Korea) its Series 9 premium all-in-one desktop, a sleek and sexy machine with an asymmetrical design which makes use of a 27-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) 3D panel.

Samsung's PC runs Windows 7 and also features an Intel Core i7 processor, up to 8 GB of RAM, an AMD Radeon mobile GPU, and a TV tuner. The Series 9 AiO comes bundled with a pair of 3D glasses, wireless mouse and keyboard. No word on pricing though.

Samsung Readies Updated, Slimmer Series 9 Notebooks

Next month Samsung Electronics is planning to refresh its Series 9 line of ultra-thin notebooks and introduce new 13.3-inch and 15-inch models that are just 0.58-inch thick and offer a battery life of up to 10 hours. The incoming machines have an aluminum casing, a SuperBright Plus display, a Core i3 or i5 processor, up to 8 GB of RAM, a 128 GB or 256 GB solid state drive (for a boot time of just 9.8 seconds and a wake-from-sleep time of 1.4 seconds), a glass touchpad, and a backlit keyboard.

The 'new and improved' 13.3-inch Series 9 notebook will start at $1,399 while its 15-inch sibling will have a base price tag of $1,499.
