NuPhy Keyboards at 2024 Computex: The Cyberpunk HE-Series, Air-Series, and Neon-Series

NuPhy is a bespoke gaming and studio keyboard brand, which brought several popular keyboard models from its lineup to Computex 2024. The HE-series is the most cyberpunk-looking of the lot, with its aluminium handle, alloy body, a metal programmable scrollwheel and a few physical knobs. Every functional aspect of the keyboard is configurable, including the keycaps, custom-sized buttons, knobs, and the key switches themselves. The keyboard features a massive 4000 mAh battery, and electronics that support 8000 Hz interface polling rate. 2.4 GHz is the faster wireless interface, Bluetooth is the more convenient albeit slower interface, and then there's always USB.

The Neon series is an interesting disaggregated 85% format keyboard. The 60% portion of it is disjointed from the Numpad that has a knob. Both portions connect to the PC as two separate keyboards. The Halo series is a 65% keyboard meant for high-comfort productivity and gaming. The example shown has a UK ISO layout, but you can order the keyboard with US ANSI, or any popular international layout. The Gem series are compact Tenkeyless keyboards with an aluminium body, and matching keycaps. The NuFolio is a compact 55% keyboard meant to be paired with tablets, such as the iPad Pro. The Halo 75 V2 is built on the same essential design philosophy as the Gem, but in a 75% layout.

i-Rocks K10M Battle Boarder is Tenkeyless with a Twist, Various Other 85% and 60% Keyboards Showcased

i-Rocks at the 2024 Computex showed us an interesting take on tenkeyless mechanical gaming keyboards. The arrow keys, along with the INS/DEL/Home/End/PageUp/PageDn cluster is now on the left side, where they're more accessible for competitive gaming.

This particular model is wired, with a USB-C/A interface. The K85H by i-Rocks is an 85% format keyboard with Hall Effect key switches, and a physical volume dial. The K104H is a 60% wireless keyboard with the same technology, but a higher 800 Hz wireless polling rate. The K73 series and K74 series span the conventional 100% format. The K85R is a step up from the K85H, but with a tiny OLED screen.

G.Skill Unveils RipJaws KM670 and KM660 RGB Tenkeyless Keyboards

G.Skill unveiled the RipJaws KM670 RGB and KM660 RGB tenkeyless (87-key) mechanical gaming keyboards. While these are gaming-grade, they're being targeted at business users owing to their durability. The KM660 is more attention-grabbing, in that it has not just white keycaps, but also a translucent white silicone diffuser making up the top bezel, so its keys not only put up a light-show through the keycaps, but also leave behind a halo in the surrounding bezel.

The KM670 RGB, on the other hand, has a more sober 2-tone design, with a silvery aluminium bezel, black keycaps, and a piano black accent running the perimeter of the bezel. Under the hoods of both are Cherry MX RGB switches (various flavors available), and electronics with full NKRO (n-key rollover), anti-ghosting, onboard macro storage, and a detachable fiber sleeved USB cable.

Corsair Launches Wireless Version of the K63 Tenkeyless, Cherry MX Red Keyboard

Corsair has launched a revised version of their K63 tenkeyless keyboard. The revised version brings with it support for wireless connection protocols (Bluetooth 4.2 (2.4 GHz and 128-bit AES wireless encryption), which means that users will now have one less wire running from their desk to their PC. In another bid to differentiate this revision from the wired one is that the per-key red LED lighting in the wired K63 has been replaced with blue LED illumination for this wireless version - another way for consumers not to be confused and know exactly which keyboard to buy. Corsair is also giving users who prefer it the option to go wired via a USB connection, however.

Other features include a 1,000 Hz poll rate, N key rollover and 100% anti-ghosting capabilities. There's also support for Corsair's "Utility Engine". The 91 keys (with the same Cherry MX Red switches as found on the wired K63) fit into a W 366 mm x 173 mm x H 41 mm frame, and the unit weighs about 1.09 kg. This model is compatible with the Lapdog solution, if that's something you care about, and should be available around the $109 mark.
