Alphacool Unveils CORE Series Water Blocks for Radeon RX 7900 Series

The new Core cooler is now compatible with RX 7900 XT(X) GPUs! Alphacool offers with the new coolers not only the usual high quality, but also remarkable performance as well as functional design for AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT(X) graphics cards in custom design. The highlight of the copper cooler is the ensemble of connector terminal and cooler, which is milled from a single piece of copper. The excellent workmanship paired with the hard and resistant chrome plating of the entire copper cooler meet the highest quality standards. A key design element of the new Core series are the brass G1/4" threads, which are left in chrome and integrated on both sides. These stand out visually from the terminal.

The aluminium backplate, which is adapted to the design, forms a unit together with the terminal and convinces with clear and homogeneous optics on the back of the cooler. The individually controllable lighting consists of digitally addressable RGB LEDs and enables the even and dazzlingly colored illumination of the entire cooler.

Alphacool Introduces Eiswolf 2 AiO for RTX 4080/4090 and RX 7900XT/XTX GPUs

Eiswolf 2 AiO - now also for custom designs of RTX 4080/4090 and RX 7900XT/XTX GPUs! Alphacool presents additional innovative solutions for cooling Nvidia's Geforce RTX 4080 and 4090 and AMD's RX 7900XT/XTX graphics cards.

The enormous waste heat of the new graphics card generation is excellently dissipated with these coolers. The very good water flow and the large cooling surface are due to the particularly filigree fin structure. The jet plate with revised inflow engine also distributes the water perfectly on the cooling fins. The complete chrome plating of the cooler not only provides resistant protection against acids, scratches and damage, but also achieves a beautiful homogeneity and remarkable shine. The Aurora design of the cooler is kept visually calm and simple. This is evident not only in the cooler's design, but also in the wonderfully even lighting achieved via digitally addressable RGB LEDs.

EK Introduces Sapphire Vapor-X R9 290X Water Block

EK Water Blocks, Ljubljana based premium computer liquid cooling gear manufacturer, is proud to introduce a new Full-Cover water block for Sapphire AMD Radeon R9 290(X) graphics cards with amended (non-reference) Vapor-X circuit board design.

EK-FC R9-290X VaporX directly cools the GPU, RAM as well as VRM (voltage regulation module) as water flows directly over these critical areas thus allowing the graphics card and it's VRM to remain stable under high overclocks. Additionally this water block also directly cools exposed copper drain on the circuit board to achieve best cooling possible. The cooling engine features a very high flow design therefore it can be easily used in liquid cooling systems using weaker water pumps.

Non-reference Design Radeon R9 290X to Be Available From Late-November

If reviews of the Radeon R9 290X showed anything other than that it's fast enough to make the GTX TITAN look like a bad choice, it's that it's hot and noisy, and that the reference design cooling solution is hopelessly inadequate at keeping the temperatures and noise in check. At some point in the future, AMD was going to allow its add-in board (AIB) partners the freedom to launch non-reference design Radeon R9 290X, or at least cards with custom-design cooling solutions. That point is closer than we think, and could be as early as late-November, according to a SweClockers report.

According to the report, AMD's AIB partners will launch R9 290X graphics cards with custom-design air- and liquid-cooling solutions by late November, 2013. It's when the likes of DirectCU II, WindForce 450W, TwinFrozr IV, Vapor-X, and IceQ X2 will begin to associate with even the most basic R9 290X cards (which start at $549.99). AMD's R9 290X is currently available in only two SKUs, both of which are based on the AMD reference cooler design; the $549.99 standard edition, and the $569.99 Battlefield 4 Edition, which includes an Origin-redeemable key to Battlefield 4 (standard edition).

The three feature three different grades of factory-OC, and are priced in the range of $299 and $349. The Radeon R9 270X family from Sapphire is just as exhaustive, with three models with the same brand-extensions, priced in the range of $199 and $239. The rest of Sapphire's lineup includes R7 260X, R7 250, and R7 240 SKUs.

Sapphire Unveils Radeon HD 7770 Vapor-X Black Diamond Graphics Card

In a bid to capture market share in the crucial Chinese Lunar New Year shopping season across the Greater China region, Sapphire launched a new graphics card occupying a price-point most tempting to value-conscious buyers, the Radeon HD 7770 Vapor-X Black Diamond. Simply put, it's a Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition card with an advanced vapor-chamber-based cooler strapped on to it, with some groovy black styling dropped in; all of which shouldn't cost Sapphire much, but ups product presentation greatly. It is a slight variation of the Vapor-X OC found in western markets.

The Sapphire HD 7770 Vapor-X Black Diamond uses a Vapor-X cooler which uses a vapor-chamber plate and two 8 mm-thick copper heat pipes to draw heat from the GPU, and conduct it to a dense aluminum fin stack, which is ventilated by a pair of 80 mm spinners. Underneath it is a custom-design PCB that's dressed in black, and uses Sapphire's noise-free chokes. The card sticks to AMD reference clock speeds of 1000 MHz core and 1250 MHz (5.00 GHz GDDR5-effective) memory. It packs 1 GB of GDDR5 memory across a 128-bit wide memory interface. Power is drawn from a single 6-pin PCIe connector. Display outputs include two DVI, and one each of DisplayPort and HDMI.

This card is only available in China.

Sapphire Vapor-X CPU Cooler Launched

Sapphire officially launched the Vapor-X CPU cooler it talked about at trade shows earlier this year. It uses a vapor-chamber plate to draw heat from the CPU, and convey it to four 7 mm-thick nickel-plated copper heat pipes, which then pass through a dense aluminum fin stack, that's ventilated by two 120 mm PWM controlled fans (replaceable) in push-pull configuration. Spinning at speeds ranging between 495 and 2,200 RPM, the fans push 77 CFM of air, each. Measuring 135 x 110.4 x 163.5 mm, the heatsink weighs about 925 g. Nearly every modern client CPU socket type is supported, including Intel sockets LGA2011, LGA115x, LGA775, and AMD sockets AM3+/AM3/AM2+/AM2, and FM2/FM1. Expect a sub-$80 price.

Sapphire Announces Radeon HD 7950 Vapor-X OC with Boost

Sapphire announced a new graphics card model based on AMD's revitalized Radeon HD 7950 Boost GPU. The card combines the new HD 7950 Boost with Sapphire's Vapor-X dual-fan cooler which has been used the likes of HD 7970 GHz Toxic 6 GB. The card even features an out-of-the-box OC. While AMD's new specifications dictate 850 MHz core with 925 MHz Boost frequency, Sapphire's BIOS runs the card at 850 MHz core with 950 MHz Boost frequency. The card packs 3 GB of GDDR5 memory across a 384-bit wide memory interface, clocked at 5.00 GHz.

Sapphire HD 7950 Boost Vapor-X OC uses a reasonably powerful VRM that draws power from two 8-pin PCI-Express power connectors. The Vapor-X cooler uses a large vapor-chamber plate that draws heat from the GPU and memory, and quickly transports it to the primary heatsink. Two 8 mm-thick and two 6 mm-thick heat pipes lend a hand. The heatsink is ventilated by a pair of 90 mm fans. Sapphire's HD 7950 Boost Vapor-X OC is expected to be priced around US $350.
