HYTE Launches Thermal Goop, CPU Frame, ARGB Light Strip and More at CES 2025

HYTE has launched a wide range of new products at CES this year, with the company getting into the thermal grease business, or thermal goop as the company refers to its first product. Sadly the company didn't provide much in terms of specs for the Thermal Goop, beyond the fact that it'll help keep your CPU cool and that's it's easy to spread, so we'll have to wait for someone to test it before we know what it's capable of, but at least it's priced reasonably at US$6.99. To go with your CPU, HYTE has also launched its Solid Processor Frame, a CNC milled aluminium frame that the company claims will help improve to cooling of your CPU, while also protecting it against damage, by prevent uneven pressure on the CPU by the cooler. The Solid Processor Frame will come in half a dozen different colour options, for both Intel and AMD CPU's for US$19.90.

Next up is the Noodle ARGB strip, which is made to fit HYTE's Y70, Y60 and Y40 cases. It's compatible with HYTE's Nexus Link and offers 215 degrees of diffused light. Depending on which case you have, the Noodle ARGB strip will cost between US$29.99 and US$34.99. HYTE also showed off an updated version of its Y70 Touch Infinite chassis that now comes with a new slim-bezel 14.9-inch touch screen. The screen sports a resolution of 682 x 2560 at 60 Hz and has 10-point multi-touch support. The new version of the chassis is priced at US$379.99. The display can be had on its own for US$179.99. Finally HYTE launched a new powered, internal USB 2.0 hub, for all those internal USB 2.0 devices that you might have and that requires a bit more than your 500 mA. The USB hub attaches magnetically to your case and will set you back US$27.99.

Update Jan 8th: The Thermal Goop has a thermal conductivity of 6.3 W/mK and it's not electrically conductive.

HYTE Launches New Y40 Mid Tower PC Case During CES 2023

HYTE, the PC components, peripherals, and lifestyle brand of iBUYPOWER, today, released its new mid-tower case, the Y40. Y40 is HYTE's second case to defy industry standards by removing the corner pillar and providing a completely unobstructed view of the inside of the case.

Continuing the design ID of its predecessor, the Y60, the HYTE Y40 will feature a two-piece panoramic tempered glass design for a clear view of the system, but in a more traditional PC case shape. The tempered glass side panel can easily be removed via a now tool-less tab located at the back of the panel while the front piece takes on a more stationary role. The tower form of Y40 will feel familiar to consumers yet, remains unique in both feature set and architecture.
