YUNZII AL Keyboard Series Updated with the AL80 QMK/VIA LCD Model

Following the YUNZII AL65 QMK/VIA aluminium keyboard showcased at this year's CES show, YUNZII recently announced the AL80 QMK/VIA aluminium LCD mechanical keyboard as its latest addition to the AL series. The keyboard is built around an anodized aluminium frame with a gasket structure and features a built-in LCD screen to show various content like time, battery level, and pictures. It also includes a fully customizable control knob. Regarding connectivity, it offers Bluetooth, 2.4G, and USB Type-C, linking up to five devices across Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS. The YUNZII AL80 supports QMK/VIA customization, offering users the ability to program keys, create macros, and adjust RGB settings.

It includes hot-swappable switch slots that work with 3-pin and 5-pin switches from various brands such as Gateron or Cherry (if ordered from the YUNZII website, users can choose between Gateron Zero Linear or YUNZII Cocoa Cream V2 Linear switches). The keyboard comes with pre-lubed linear switches and uses a gasket-mounted design with several noise-reducing layers. A 6000mAh battery powers the device, which includes an RGB lighting system offering 1.68 million colors and more than 20 backlight options. Elecom's New Gaming Keyboard Feels Like Cheating: Ultra-Fast Magnetic Switch Gaming Keyboard with Rapid Trigger

ELECOM, a global leader in innovative gaming peripherals, is excited to announce the launch of the TK-VK720A gaming keyboard. This groundbreaking device is set to redefine the gaming experience with its advanced magnetic switch technology, offering unmatched speed, precision, and customization—all within a sleek, compact design. The keyboard will be available in two color options: black and white.

Unmatched Performance with Advanced Magnetic Switches
At the core of the TK-VK720A are its advanced magnetic switches, making ELECOM one of the first in the industry to adopt analog silent switches. These switches provide faster actuation and reset points than traditional mechanical switches, ensuring key presses register at the slightest touch for smoother, more responsive keystrokes. This technology offers a crucial edge in competitive gaming, where every millisecond counts.

Drop Sneak Peeks CSTM80 Keyboard

The headlining feature of the upcoming CSTM80 keyboard is the magnetically attached (and easily swapped) top case, allowing you to easily customize the aesthetics of your board on a whim. That said, there is a lot going on under the hood of CSTM80 to create a full-featured board out of the box, and we'll focus on those features in this story.

Typing Feel and Sound
CSTM80 features a peg-type gasket-mounted plate design, shipping with a polycarbonate plate by default for both the fully-built and barebones versions. The PC plate offers a satisfying typing sound and allows for a good amount of flex to take advantage of the gasket-mounting construction. The stock sound with the included linear switches (Gateron Yellow KS3) has a subtle marbly-ness while not sounding overly muted or deadened, and the included tactile switches (Gateron Browns) sound surprisingly similar while maintaining a strong tactility. We'll let the (soon-to-come) typing tests show the sound better than our descriptions, though—stay tuned for those.

HYTE Keeb TKL Hands On: Possibly the Catchiest Keyboard Out there

The Keeb TKL by HYTE is possibly the most eye-catching keyboard designs at the 2023 Computex, probably because its design has callbacks to the iMac G4, with large acrylic frame elements. Unlike the G4, the Keeb actually puts its "glasshouse" to use with RGB LED lighting, particularly a 155-pixel qRGB. The keyboard uses Durock Creamy Yellow factory-calibrated linear switches, coupled with Durock V2 gold stabilizers. Finishing it is the double-shot shine-through PBT keycaps.
