ABIT AW9D-MAX Review

Packaging

If you have read the press release of the AW9D-MAX you have read about Bushido. The packaging style reflects this.

The backside has lots of information about the board which comes in handy when you are standing in the shop and try to find more info in offline mode.

The top can be folded up to reveal a look at the board. The window position has been very well chosen I must say. You can see the two PCI-Express slots, the passively cooled chipset and the heat-pipe assembly.

Inside the package is a white box with your motherboard and accessories.

Everything is well separated. You have three boxes: one with the motherboard, two smaller ones with accessories and documentation.

After opening the package I saw the plastic cover of the CPU socket not there but flying around somewhere in the package. If this happens to you, please take a quick look at the LGA Socket pins to verify that they have not been bent or damaged.

The package boxes are filled well with all kinds of cables and connectors.
