In many ways, the Abkoncore A660 is very similar to the Abkoncore A530. They share the same sensor (PMW3325), same packaging, same (stiff) cable, and the same strengths and weaknesses. Much like the latter, the A660 suffers from poor click latency and significant sensor delay, except that the A660 does even worse in that regard: click latency is staggeringly high at roughly 19.0 ms (relatively), and sensor motion delay sits at a fairly high 3 ms as well. On the flip side, the A660 scores high in the button department: All of the buttons are of surprisingly high quality, and the switches themselves are mostly of above average quality. The same goes for the scroll wheel, which provides nice scrolling with pleasant feedback. In terms of materials, the A660 doesn't feel like a budget mouse either as its build is very solid all around; no creaking or rattling, or similar issue to speak of, along with an excellent coating and good mouse feet to boot. The RGB lighting is another strong point of the A660. Although the number of available lighting effects is quite limited, the G303-like lighting itself is very nice to look at. I have no complaints about the software, which provides all the essential options. Additionally, having the option to adjust both CPI and polling rate directly on the mouse is very handy.
Still, there's one big problem, and it's called the Logitech G203. The G203 has pretty much all the strengths of the A660, but comes with a flawless sensor implementation and very low click latency, two things sorely missing on the A660. The Logitech G203 often goes for around $25, and sometimes even less when on sale. While the Abkoncore A660 just costs $19.99, the upgrade provided by the G203 is significant enough to be worth every cent. Personally, I prefer the shape of the A660 because of the better sides, but the shape is similar enough overall to where the drop in performance simply isn't worth it. The Abkoncore A660 is not a bad mouse, and when looking at it on its own, value for money is very good, so giving it the Budget award is well warranted. However, when having the choice between the A660 and G203, I'd take the G203 every day of the week.
