A Closer Look

The XMP SPECTRIX D41 sticks are super-flashy sticks that really stand out due to their high-gloss metallic finish. All the grooves and round spots and stuff grab the light and throw it right into your eyes.

Both sides are identical, with the large white plastic light bar reaching across the top and end-to-end.

These 8 GB sticks I have here are single-sided, and the heatspreader reaches pretty much right to the end of the sticks, but does stop just short of fouling with the DIMM slots.

The stylized XMP logo sits in the middle of the DIMM's heatspreader, while the XPG name is emblazoned across the top of the light diffuser.

The product logo on these sticks is really horrible. With everything else looking so awesome, this is one area that could use some work for sure. There HAS to be a better way of showing this stuff.

Not much worth noting on the ends of these sticks, but you will see that there are ICs on both sides.

The same PCB is probably used for both the 8 GB sticks and 16 GB sticks, which helps keep costs down, while also offering the same sort of clocking experience? That should be interesting to look at, but will have to remain something for a future review!
