Initial Setup

The large light diffuser that sits across the top of the DIMMs really helps these XPG SPECTRIX D41 look different from all the others. With so many options for RGB memory on the market today, getting this right is ultra-important, and XPG has gotten it right. The little triangles of light on either edge really look good too.

With a board with memory slots on either side of the socket, these sticks and their soft glow are fantastic, the XPG name visible in the middle of the stick. Maybe, we could have had some version of the XPG logo here as well, though?

These sticks tend to go out of sync at times, as most RGB LED DIMMs do. Fortunately, if you want to change the pattern that is displayed, these sticks are integrated into all the RGB control software provided by motherboards with such software.

These XMP SPECTRIX D41 sticks do have another ability; they offer dual XMP profiles to ensure compatibility with all modern systems. Of course, the primary profile is at 3200 MHz, with 16-18-18-36 timings and an operating voltage of 1.35 V.

The secondary profile is at 2666 MHz, with 16-16-16-39 timings and an operating voltage of 1.2 V. These are actually fairly tight timings for 2666 MHz.
