A "theme-park of horror," Resident Evil 8 Village puts the protagonist in a "village" modeled around Transylvania, the de facto capital of western horror fiction. The protagonist learns that his wife from previous chapters of the game isn't dead, instead having been abducted along with his infant daughter by an arch enemy. He must now defeat four mutant lords who rule over four distinct zones of the village to uncover the mystery behind their disappearance and rescue them. Each zone is based on different themes from contemporary horror.
