Temperatures
Idle temperatures are excellent even with the fans turning off in idle. Gaming temperatures are better than on RX Vega 64 due to the reduced heat output. I think given the 75°C under load, AMD could have adjusted the fan profile to be quieter, allowing for higher temperatures.
GPU Temperature Comparison |
---|
| Idle | Load | Gaming Noise |
---|
RX Vega 56 | 40°C | 75°C | 42 dBA |

RX Vega 64 | 40°C | 85°C | 45 dBA |

Important: GPU temperature will vary depending on clock speed, voltage settings,
cooler design, and production variances. This table just serves to provide a list of
typical temperatures for similar cards as determined during TPU review.
Clock Profiles
Modern graphics cards have several clock profiles that are selected to balance power draw and performance requirements.
The following table lists the clock settings for important performance scenarios and the GPU voltage that is used in those states.
| GPU Clock | Memory Clock | GPU Voltage |
---|
Desktop | 852 MHz | 167 MHz | 0.765 V |

Multi-Monitor | 852 MHz | 167 MHz | 0.858 V |

Blu-ray Playback | 852 MHz | 167 MHz | 0.775 V |

3D Load | up to 1590 MHz | 800 MHz | 1.045 V |
