The AQIRYS Andromeda Pro is a heavily upgraded variant of the Andromeda wireless gaming headset, which I didn't have a chance of reviewing. A look at the technical specifications tells us at least a part of the story; the speaker drivers and battery capacity are definitely different than before. AQIRYS points out that the Andromeda Pro is built around the Avnera 6202 wireless audio chip, which I'm not sure many users care about, but it's worth mentioning that the same IC is used in some other popular brand-name wireless gaming headsets, such as the Logitech G733 and G935, as well as many wireless speakers, particularly rear surrounds and subwoofers.
Aside from the promise of a robust, zero-lag wireless connection to the supplied USB Type-A receiver, the $105/€110 headset promises good audio quality from its oversized 53 mm titanium membrane speaker drivers. The headset offers—along with swappable ear pads—a detachable TeamSpeak-certified microphone and a very familiar design, made popular many years ago by the HyperX Cloud lineup. In fact, other than the logo on the ear cups and the color scheme, the AQIRYS Andromeda Pro is nearly identical visually to the beloved HyperX Cloud Alpha, which is by no means a downside.
