Arctic Cooling Breeze Mobile Fan Review

Performance, Value & Conclusion »

Introduction

Arctic Cooling are mostly known for their CPU and graphic card coolers, however, they sport an entire range of peripherals. One of the newest in their extensive line-up is a little portable USB fan dubbed Breeze mobile. This little gadget slots into a free USB port and moves some air. Since Arctic Cooling also launched a small combined portable battery and solar charger it can also run off that for a while.

Specifications

  • Energy-efficient motor and with low noise impeller
  • USB-powered – suitable for laptops and USB chargers
  • Lightweight, portable, slim design
  • Flexible neck for easy positioning
  • Perfect for frequent travelers

Package

The Breeze comes in a thin plastic box. This is definitely not adequate protection for air shipping, and I hope that all the retailers ship it in a box with some bubble wrap otherwise the fan could easily be damaged.

The design of the unit is very simple. The fan is mounted upon a memory flex arm that allows for some adjustment in all directions. Funny thing is that the arm is what feels most solid about this design, the plastic fan assembly feels wobbly and does not exude confidence.
