The Arozzi Verona V2 I evaluated in a previous review has thus far proven to be comfortable, with no major issues having arisen after months of use. The Vernazza is the second gaming chair I have now had the opportunity to evaluate from the company, and it is considered to be a mid-priced chair, while belonging to Arozzi's high-end models. Like most of today's gaming chairs, the Vernazza follows the ubiquitous sports bucket seat design with a few points that might just do the trick in convincing a potential buyer to take this product over others. After having reviewed an abundance of gaming chairs, I am aware of what matters the most when it comes to a gaming chair that will be used for longer sessions; comfort and ergonomics are first. A soft seat and supportive backrest, along with a frame that will not lose its shape over time, are of immense importance. On top of that, a user will certainly not spend a significant amount of money on an ugly chair or for a chair cover that will start to wear off after only a short period of time.
The Vernazza has been forged to hold users who weigh up to 145 kg (320 lb), which means it is of a sturdy construction. Even though it has raised edges along both its seat and backrest, almost its entire surface area is up for use. Moreover, the foam's density for both the seat and backrest is remarkable, which means users will still find themselves comfortably seated after even longer gaming sessions. The black PU cover nicely fits into all gaming environments, and since the chair's dimensions are slim, it is a good option for cramped spaces. The 3D armrests can be adjusted to everyone's liking, and the caster wheels don't roll all that easy, which makes them ideal for even intense gaming sessions. The backrest's recline is smooth and almost goes all the way back. The chair's tilt function is also one of its most important features, especially for users who spend many hours seated, since it can improve blood flow.
The truth of the matter is that the competition in this price range is tough, with most products offering nearly the same features. One of Vernazza's main selling points, though, is the increased foam density, and it being available in six different color combinations; black, which is the color of our sample, blue, green, orange, red, and white—all aforementioned color combinations are offered at the same price. There is even a special edition of this chair, devoted to The World of Tanks game, though it is €10 more.
The Vernazza chair is comfortable and, with the only exception of some plastic bits, of good build quality. It, however, offers nothing out of the ordinary, and I personally have kind of had my fill of car seat designs in chairs. I would very much like to see something different; for example, a mesh-designed chair, or something with a different shape that doesn't look like a bucket seat.
