Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is an adventure quest by Ninja Theory, and based in 8th century Northern Europe. You follow tribal warrior Senua on her quest to save her lover's soul while battling her own demons. This is one of the rare few games that explore the transition period between the Viking era and medieval northern Europe. Hellblade depicts what is probably the most realistic presentation of psychosis in a video game. You do wonder "so that's how it feels when you hear voices in your head?"

Hellblade is an important title because it is built with Unreal Engine 4, which is used by many other titles, so performance results can set expectations for other titles using that same engine. The game is heavily taxing on the machine at higher resolutions, but you're rewarded with that much more visual splendor.
