Packaging
For those of us who have already had the opportunity to play with an ASRock OC FORMULA product, the box the X99 OC FORMULA/3.1 shows up in is quite familiar, although the USB 3.1 logo is definitely new. The rear covers the normal things, with a repeat of the USB 3.1 logo in case you missed it.
Flipping the box open, we find the accessories up top, with the board itself hidden behind a cardboard layer. Once freed from the box, the ASRock X99 OC FORMULA/3.1 seems a bit oversized in its large anti-static bag.
I have said before that ASRock provides my favorite packaging, and they've stayed pretty consistent with it throughout the majority of their product line, to my delight. You'll need a pair of scissors or something similar to free your shiny new board from its safety net of foam that ensures any sort of shipping damage is hugely minimized or eliminated altogether.
